The screen reader function is not working. It is there but when I click it, it will not enable. This is on PS5

hello, i have the same problem on the playstation five the screen reader in diablo four early access cannot be activated. In the beta for diablo IV I could still use the screen reader without any problems, but not in the full version in early access. Feature cannot be activated but is essential for the blind and partially sighted to play this game and navigate the menu gear and others. Please solve problem. Germany

it’s just disappointing that they still haven’t managed to make this feature available to everyone at release. There is also no indication on the official website that it should only be available in certain regions. And the screen reader is so important for blind and low vision people to play this game. It’s just disappointing, especially when these people have pre-ordered the game, for example in my case over 100 € for the Ultimate Edition, which I can’t use now. I feel cheated

Yeah, I wish we knew why or when. I preordered ulimate edition and cannot even make a toon by myself because i cannot click the button to turn screen reader on… Feels bad…

You are absolutely right, I totally understand you. I only hope that those here in the forums also read the posts. Blizzard must live up to their own promises of making the game accessible to as many people as possible. It’s incomprehensible that a feature that worked so well in the diablo four beta isn’t unlocked everywhere in the lounge.

I have the same problem with you, on PS5. The point is that we don’t have an answer if and when it will be fixed.
I am thinking maybe we have to contact with IGN or Eurogamer or the press.

I also have the same issue on the PS5. This is a let down as I purchased this game specifically for that feature.

Extremely disappointing. I have low vision and bought this game from the Playstation Store as I thought I could possibly find my way using the screen reader and on first boot I see it’s disabled… I wish I can get a refund as now I am stuck with a game I can’t even start… Also no Updates from Blizzard?
