Scattered Prisms used to drop rarely from several sources, but do not seem to any longer. In my experience the only source now is from WBs. The S4 patch notes make no note of any changes to Scattered Prisms.

That’s been my experience for season 4. I’ve only had 2 Scattered Prisms drop and I’m level 76. World Bosses are the only mobs that drops them and it’s not 100% drop rate. I’ve completed 3 Legion events yesterday and 1 today and not one dropped. I remember scattered prisms dropped for Legion Events last season. Any idea if anything besides World Bosses drop them? It’s really annoying that I can’t socket my gear.
I haven’t done any WBs yet and one legion event for a season quest and I have 1 prism. So I’m going to guess I got it from the event.
WHAT world bosses? Never, anytime, EVER… I’ve NEVER gotten a single prism anywhere, so I’m SOL.
