Scammers in GAME

The scammer replaced the amulet with another during the exchange. There is a trade, then he cancels it and writes report some gold. Makes a second trade, but with a different item. It’s already a little my fault that I didn’t double-check the item. I hope Blizzard will block them and they will have to buy their game again. Other players should remember this and double-check the item of trade every time. His friend also
laughed at me. This is their clan. Looks like they’re all scammers there. Links are not inserted.

Be careful when exchanging. And I hope Blizzard bans them

You can’t list names on the forum, it is against COC.

You can put it in a ticket though. Video or screenshots for proof would be in your favor.

Honestly. Just pretend trade does not exist.

I’m sure the diablo 4 discord have some form of blacklist.

You just can’t do it on the official forums

can confim this - they tried to scam, but i checked the item. after that instant logout & defriended me. be careful with ppl named Lunar*****# and Wizden******#.

I agree everyone should be aware of who the scammers are.
But this is not the place because then it becomes a headache for the mods to distinguish what is true and what is not. I am not questioning your integrity at all, but not everyone online is honest in their claims, as you have seen. So nothing would stop them from coming here and saying “you are a scammer” so as a policy it is better to just have it the way it is.

Ah the good old bait and switch, from D2 times. These things made me an ssf only player 20 some years ago.

Again, Player to Player actions aren’t passive of ban.

He isn’t messing with game files, he isn’t messing with the server, he isn’t messing with your account, he isn’t doing nothing that affects the game.

He is only a piece of ****.

But… if you were lucky (?) and he was rude with you, calling you some name, saying something offensive, now this could lead to his ban if you report.

I stopped trading with random people since Diablo 2!

It’s not a scam at all that’s why they allow you to check before you accept the trade it’s 100% on your shoulders.

glad you cant post those 3rd party websites in here but they are heavily advertised in game can i advertise my websites in game also? id like some diablo base as my customers for free.

It is pathetic behaviour. But this is your and only your fault. There is no need to blizzard participate in this…

Botting is whole another topic on the other hand.

Unlike POE, The drop rates in this game are not really that bad. I see no reason to trade myself and i would and do support full BOA to stop this kind of stuff from happening.

sound like you got scammed like the old D2 switcheroo (mantle with amethyst instead of tal rasha, cap with emerald instead of shako etc…)

eitherway, everything has been said here, i personally never trade i only play self loot, but as you said you have to always double check in trading,

but do send a ticket just in case i guess if you have any proof, who knows

Why? Support should focus on different things.

He could check what he is buying, he willingly confirm that transaction. Whole transaction is legit.

This is equivalent of IRL scams where someone send all his money to some bitcoin automat bcs some dude with indian accent told him he will make him rich.

Feel no sorry for people like this, they just should not have any money and not a worst police man should spent a second of his time on them

its a hard lesson to learn, but make sure you learn.

this game has done it best to have a 2 stage trading confirmation. Its your job to be vigilant.

guys this is so basic to avoid a trade scam.

rule 1, always assume the other trader is trying to scam you
rule 2 check 0’s when selling an item
rule 3 check the item in the trade window before every action when buying.

This was pretty common in D2 sadly… Just assume the worst and you’re good to go.
