Considering that only 20 people are still playing, they may as well have just left it on.

That is a weird choice no kidding. Doesn’t the Christmas event end before Christmas too? Or did it end with Mom’s blessing? I haven’t played much this week. Hopefully they have a surprise waiting if they did. /snorts copium.

I think you meant “event”. Gotta keep that in quotations because D4 events are notoriously uneventful.

No really Blizz, I really am ‘thankful’ to lose 35% grinding efficiency right when I can play in earnest

always great to see how apparently regular players have access to blizzards metrics.

I counted myself. Checked the whole map.

oh then you dont seem to be able to count. a server shard holds 12 people.

How did I know you’d say that. I figured by the 3rd sarcastic message you might catch on, or
you wouldn’t and you’d reference the amount of players on the server.

ok so… you are saying you wanted attention =P?
Well here it is <3

Thank you. You are too kind.

According to the ActivePlayer site if Diablo IV cared about fans celebrating they’d line up their event with holidays in South Korea, Denmark, and Canada. Those are the top three countries, by far, playing Diablo IV. I think US ranks #8 barely making it into the top 10 country list.

There are still a few million players per month (roughly 3.5 million), especially when a new season shows up… but it’s down about 50% from it’s peak in June 2023 (Over 6.7 million). So the game has fallen quite a bit but settled into a predictable pattern of users.

If half of those are bots, can we really say they’re players?

I was curious, but when I clicked ‘About’ it sent me to the top of the front page. It seems to be an AI aggregator of data from other sites, but I can’t tell what sources it uses. Also the text is almost certainly AI generated. Still… an interesting compiler, at least for comparing trends. Any idea who runs it & where they source their data?

Sorry… I stumbled across it doing searches for usage not solely based on Steam numbers. There was a tech article from Wired or something similar that referred to it.

Ya i was hoping to try to get to 280 paragon this weekend. Logged in saw the xp buff was gone and said NOPE and logged off
