Whelp, I upgraded & rerolled GA on an Heir of Perdition & sanctified it. Cool.
Oops… I forgot to add the 2 sockets that requires runes in it… Now its a big ole RIP
I get it that its final, but c’mon we’ve played 10 seasons with nothing like this, could we please add a simple QoL check before sanctification is applied?
Or even better allow for adding sockets? I mean you can add/remove gems/runes from them still at least.
Or maybe Mythic Uniques should just come with sockets already?

Literally Same thing happened to me i get them making them not modifiable after Sanctifying but sockets should not be included in that sht. Ridiculous
Had the same happen to me, twice. Sanctification should not lock out sockets. Bricked one item (3GA legs w/o sockets) and have a shroud without - so no runes for me.

i get a nice mythic i can use after 140 hours of play, get excited and forget my sockets. what a bummer. what are you saving yourself blizzard with customer disappointment ?
The little inconvenience they believe it is for us will surely lead us to continue playing MORE boosting those player engagement metrics. It couldn’t possibly lead to anyone leaving the game
