Sanctification.... Seriously ?!?

Dear Blizzard, this is the 3rd time I try to sanctify a fully upgraded item, and the 3rd time this stupid mechanic simply bricks my item… Seriously, how such a thing is possible ??? Did you test your new feature or anything ? Do you think ruining player’s item was a cool idea ?

Personally I give up with that thing, this is plain sh.t, sry for being rude but I see no other words for such a pathetic failure.

ps : Actually you knew exactly what you did with that “feature”, because every time it replaced precisely the most important line on items. So lame, how did you let that thing leave beta stage ?

I haven’t bricked a single item. Even when an affix was replaced, i still equipped that item and salvaged what was in its place. You’re doing it wrong.

Well it seems you’ve been very lucky then ? But what can I do wrong, except putting my item on the sanctification altar ? I say again, all I got was 3 bricks in a row. I wouldn’t complain if all the harm it could do was adding one useless line, but replacing the most important line, omg, I just don’t get it.

I don’t think i’ve been very lucky. If yours was truly unusable, then i’d say you’ve had monumental bad luck. Most of what i hear is more like my experience.

Before trying that feature for the 1st time, I had read a couple things here and there about it, and the rule was, more or less, “sometimes, it can brick item, so be careful”. Bricking 3 items in a row is certainly what one can call bad luck, but it shouldn’t be possible in the first place, I mean there should be some “gardrail” in the mechanic to prevent this. But there isn’t any, it seems.

In any case, I won’t let that Hadriel dude ruin another of my items, won’t sanctify anything unless there is a patch to the feature. I know it will cost me levels in the pit, but I don’t care.

Dev’s: Grind, grind endlessly…

Trolly Polly response. There’s plenty of uniques that when replaced on a line remove its primary feature. I’ve even had it replaced often with stats my build isn’t using, like basic attacks or justice attacks for example. Double slap in the face. Removing damage reduction on a shield? Bricked. You know this stuff, you’re just having a laugh upsetting someone else.

If you’re getting upset, then you’re doing it wrong. Video games should be fun. If you’re not having fun then one of these is likely true:

  • You’re doing something wrong
  • You have the wrong expectations
  • The game is not fun

So your options are to:

  • Figure out what you’re doing wrong and correct it
  • Adjust your expectations
  • Play a different game
  • Keep doing the same thing and keep crying about it
