Can anyone explain to how to same console multiplayer? Is it possible? Do you need 2 Xbox live accounts and 2 Battle.net accounts? Any help is appreciated
It wasn’t working at all for me yesterday, but my wife and I got it working today. My Xbox account has game pass/live, hers does not. We both have our own Xbox account linked to our own bnet accounts. I started the game then she would join in by pressing start. Yesterday that’s where it would end, she’d press start and nothing would happen. Today she got prompted to create a character and we got to 20 together no problems.
Tl;dr you need two Xbox account and two bnet accounts, but only the person who owns the console needs Xbox live.
Same here… we got it working, but both need xbox and bnet accounts.
Same experience on PS5 - everyone needed to link their playstation account to a blizzard account, however, only the account that “owned” the game needed to have playstation plus.
This is horrendously poor to force multiple accounts for local multiplayer.
This should be made VERY obvious before purchase.
In all the past games my family has loved playing together offline, youve killed that, this is an egregious money grab that will affect my future purchases.
