I understand at the beginning of S4 all items from S3 and earlier will be marked “Legacy” on Eternal.
Will “Legacy” legendary items be able to be salvaged into the Codex of Power on Eternal?
Thanks!

This is something I’m wondering as well. There’s a few legendary aspects I want to keep. I’m unsure if we still have the option to extract Legacy aspects.
You can’t extract a legendary aspect in S4. They go straight to the Codex of Aspects and when you want to imprint one onto an item, you select the aspect you want from the list.
No more need to fill up your stash or inventory with aspects. No need to have multiple copies of the same aspect for when you get better gear.
The Codex will keep track of all of them from when you salvage your legendary items. And as you get better copies, your codex shows how they are increased in rank.
All that is true. Aspects are also being changed. Not to mention there are certain aspect that will disappear forever. Legacy items will keep the values forever. Just need to know if we can still extract those legacy aspect from gear in some way.
My guess is all Legacy items will be defunct. Equipping them does nothing.
We simply don’t know how legacy aspects/legendary items will work.
My thought is they will be treated the same as normal legendary items in S4 with giving an aspect to the Codex according to their level.
Legacy items can be salvaged into the codex. Legacy items are excluded from tempering and master work only.
Legacy items will work at it is per live. It just can’t be IMPROVED through new crafting system.
“Legacy items can be salvaged into the codex. Legacy items are excluded from tempering and master work only.” Awesome! Source? You a blizz official person?
Thanks!
