I would like to suggest to the devs to add a new equipment slot for Mounts, namely the Saddlebag Item Slot. This new item slot would be accessible from the Stable Master in-town or via your character inventory UI.
Saddlebags would act as an extension to your Stash and can be accessed anywhere in the world. Saddlebags would be world drops and the amount of additional stash space would depend on the tier of the Saddlebag equipped. They would come in 5 tiers as shown below. A Tailor Vendor NPC could sell normal and magic tier Saddlebags and offer an option to craft unique saddlebags. Lastly, Saddlebags would be tradeable as well.
A few examples are shown below…
Saddlebag Item Slot
- Rawhide Saddlebag (Normal)
- Adds +10 Inventory Slots, 1 Row
- Leather Saddlebag (Magic)
- Adds +20 Inventory Slots, 2 Rows
- Serpentskin Saddlebag (Rare)
- Adds +30 Inventory Slots, 3 Rows
- Demonhide Saddlebag (Legendary)
- Adds +40 Inventory Slots, 4 Rows
- Balrog Skin Saddlebag (Unique)
- Adds +50 Inventory Slots, 5 Rows

Not until they fix the stash issue to begin with. I too agree with the idea, but we have to be realistic here.
That was my tought aswell , there are hugh issues with stash tabs. Till they cant solve them we wont see any new tabs let alone saddle.

Very true, but we can still share ideas for the future. I was also thinking we could craft saddlebags and sell them to other players. Idea may never see the light of day.
Grits:
The Grits allow your mount to now eat all small pebbles in its path.
(this can only occur once every 8 seconds)
Meal:
The meal enables you mount to become a battle pet.
(you will have to catch it in the wild with a pokeball, as all your mounts have now broken free of the stable.)
Dev note:
[Pokeballs will be introduced in the midseason patch more than likely.]
That would fall more into the territory of MMORPG I feel, but hey anything’s possible.
True, but most items are already tradeable, so it makes sense these would be too.
Yea but you’re talking about trading crafted items, which currently you can’t do with any items you craft. Aside from gems.
I can’t trade a tempered or even enchanted item.
True, but wouldn’t crafted bags be similar to crafted gems? I’m not sure, but think so. All bags would be similar of a given rarity type/tier, just like gems.
Well let’s play devil’s advocate a little bit.
First issue I see is equating stash space (essentially) to a grind other than the in game currency of gold. By allowing these bags to drop you’ve just added another chore for players to do during a season that would equate to another stash tab at best. While one could argue it would be one of those rare items you’d never really see often, we all know how our community would react.
Second issue is the fact this can then be traded amongst other players, which could lead to unfairness, even yet another item to RMT, and a scramble to get these items every Season, as it would be obvious you wouldn’t be able to keep them across seasons. They would be highly sought after by the more enthusiastic players for sure.
Third issue, if instead we are able to craft them, that requires even more materials we would have to farm on top of everything else. If you kept your tiers of Bags ranging from 10 to 50 slots respectively, this would mean in order to make the 50 slot bag, you would probably need something very specific, possibly a new item to farm.
While not necessarily a problem in and of itself, if I were a developer, why would I bother with a bag that can be crafted, and not just make another stash tab instead? What would the benefit be of needing people to farm for a convenience item that essentially does the same thing as a stash tab? All of this assuming they could get the stash problem fixed.
Now if these bags were useable out in the world so to speak, it would just save you from having to make a trip back to town a little earlier, but that’s not much of an incentive to add all this extra work just to make it viable.
Again just playing devil’s advocate here.
All this would do right now is make us load other horse saddle bags. They need to rework their entire inventory system from the ground up. That being said I like this idea once storage is fixed and even a mythic saddlebag for 75 slots. Dont agree on tradable though. More stuff for dupers to target.
