If i wanted to play a hardcore grinding game , i would play poe 2. D4 should be about casual fun as it has been. Let us level up our friends , let us have more builds getting to t4 and lets balance the fotm builds from being way above the power curve.
I want more access to greater aspects on gear, as too often we get junk. Items shouldnt require 50billion gold to trade for due to supply vs demand.
I want better ways to fully unlock aspect levels. I shouldnt be able to max out seasonal twice on same class and have several adpects not max.
I want enemies to scale with mechanics , not just become damage sponges.
I want hordes to have no dead mods l.
Why does every game try to isolate us from playing with others instead of letting us share in a collective. Casual gamers spend more money then the grinders as we are the ones buying mtx to look cute. We are the ones to pay for convience due to lack of time.
Extend s7 by 3 months and go back to drawing board about making d4 fun to play. Let the grinders go to one of the other arpgs.
S8 is the right way for D4 to go, and i hope they can still nerf things more, because a RPG shouldn’t be easy as one click kills, it should be hard.
D4 is not a count killing game. For that we have FPS…

Y’all haven’t even played season 8, yet all I see/hear is curse word and moaning before the season even Came out! The PTR for goodness sakes hasn’t even been released!
I bet y’all gonna be in torment 4 in no time anyway. Blasting monsters and bosses like nothing changed from season 2 to season 7.

You can still play on T1. That’s where casuals should stay. It’s 3 months, if you can’t progress you can play on eternal too. Diablos has always been a game where the best items are impossible to find. And perfection should be a goal to be able to advance a step. What is the dynamic today? If just by putting on a pair of pants your power destroys everything. Grinding is part of the game to become better. Today I did pit 50, tomorrow I’ll do pit 51. That’s how the game should be.
They had to make the game harder. IT was a complete snooze fest before. I agree with that change.
The change to bosses is bad. No more free runs. The thing ppl fear with leechers ends up happening on every run now. You only get loot for yourself. So its as if you were first in the rotation and summoned and then entire party left. This is how that works now every single time. 100% “leech” all the time.
Basing the season power on boss powers is bad. They dont look even as fun and cool as witch powers and the witch powers were plagued by issues and they were overall simpler. These are stacks of numbers on more numbers with conditions that were deemed bad on other affixes and removed.
Some Quality stuff is fine sure lets do that.
The biggest tests they have is can they prevent dupes and can they have a smooth roll out without a zillion bugs.

They redid the boss mechanics but (to my knowledge) they didn’t touch the rest of the game.
They changed definitions. This is what it means to be T4 now. Players will respond (because they have no choice) by playing a lower difficulty.
At the end of he day, it’s not a difficulty increase, it’s an item quantity drop nerf. Your gameplay experience will not have changed, only the number shown under minimap.
i agree that the nerf to boss rotations is bad and we should be playing a game with little to no bugs. ofc more QoL improvements.
since d4’s identity is casual friendly i disagree with making the game more harder n grindy than it is now like nerfing ancestral unique drop rate n higher pit to unlock t4, nerfing drop rate of boss materials
for the minority non casual hardcore players they should expand on endgame in a way that is tougher n even impossible than it is now but the content should b only for challenge n no rewards/greater rewards tied to them.
OR heck just make hardcore realm really hardcore with low drop rates, lots of rng, slow pace in everything, low character dmg n hp, no party bonus exp, no party bonus loot, add resilience to all mobs when in party, etc etc. tell em to play in hardcore realm bcuz that’s what it’s there for n stick to your guns.
this way both types of gamers are pleased. it’s upsetting that blizzard lacks the productivity/effort/creativity to think of ways to cater to both. im sure they can do it there’s already lots of ideas thrown out there with all the feedback they get n other games they can get inspiration from.
Torments difficulty is tied to the same difficulty of the pit tiers that unlock it so the increase in pit tier scaling does effect torment levels difficulty
