S7 will make or break VoH

When you think about it, the endgame in S6 doesn’t really function as intended. Even if you don’t play as the spiritborn, the progression still doesn’t work right because you basically get boosted by the spiritborn in your group.

  • Boss rotas are trivially easy because the bosses don’t even get to do their mechanics, even on T4.

  • In the Dark Citadel, some bosses’ HP bars get depleted so fast that you basically skip them.

  • You can farm the Pit and the Undercity really efficiently with the spiritborn in your group zooming ahead.

  • Uniques with 4GA are abundant and cheap because of how easy it is for the spiritborn to farm. Even so, non-unique ancestral items are extremely rare and will only get rarer if farming isn’t as efficient in S7.

We don’t even know how the classes stack up in a competitive environment because the Gauntlet is disabled this season.

If the Blizzard nerfs the spiritborn in S7, the game will basically be completely different.

Well first. S7 will either fix VoH or not. Cause it is pretty broken right now isnt it?

probably suxs to work as a enemy creative dev for blizz. Imagine coming to work each day thinking
(okay i have to creat a new boss with super cool mechanics)… hmmm, oh screw it why would i bonk my head about it the boss mechanics will never matter anyway :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging:

The blasting in this game is out of control and it is just boring to me. Everything is a homogenous mass of boring encounters.

They disabled the gauntlet because they knew what was coming. Not that we haven’t been able to see the nonsense with our own eyes anyway.

I think the mid season 6 patch will either make or break this expansion. An underwhelming mid season patch would be bad right now. Blizzard should be in that kitchen with their aprons on slaving over a hot stove. Dinner is soon.

The game would have been amazing if it had started out with class balance instead of this little nugget buddy fest we’ve got going on right now.

They’re gonna lose players no matter what actions they take now. Which seems bad even horrible when multiple gaming companies Blizzard included have been having mass layoffs when their products don’t do well. “Whoops, forgot to test this before we implemented it!” Whoever took over for Bobby Kotick fires 1700 people Merry Christmas.

Test things before you put them in the next expansion Blizzard. Paladin doesn’t need to one shot the whole screen with shield throw because DDUUHHHHH IT’S THE NEW CLASS AND IT’S COOL DDDEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR

S7 won´t change anything.

We can see “seasson (current one +1) will make it or break it” topics since release.

They fix some problems and add new. Kill few build, bring few new OP etc. Their modus operandi is clear now.

This is definitely their 17th second chance but we can still have hope.

Every season there is a make or brake thread. Thos who are still playing will likely return for S7. Those that quick for various reasons wont.

It’s already broken beyond repair wym?
Imagine releasing a $40 xpacs with zero effort into testing & QA. Well it is the reality.

After playing s6 for 150+ hrs, in my opinion the game has only one big problem at the moment and it’s by far not the endgame which is really fine.
The problem is the worst class balance an ARPG ever had.
Most builds - even the ones that were good before s6 - are not powerful enough to compete in torment 4.
THIS is the prio #1 thing, Blizzard should investigate. Nothing else.

On one hand i praise them for working and releasing big patches daily.
On the other hand i cannot even get close to understanding how the expansion releases in such a mess of a state.

So many bugs, crashes, things that are impossible to miss like the horse stagger scaling with torments.
For those that praise balance, anything that hits high tiers right now is because of either a broken mechanic or some overpower snapshotting. All builds -require- mythics to function in higher levels and we are back to getting gimmicked by a build that only uses 2-3 legendary items. So buildcrafting is out of the window and we are back at farming bosses all day for upgrades.

With all the changes for s6, I didn’t expect the classes would be balanced at all. If they leave the Torments alone for a few sessons they can work towards that. On the other hand, it’s hard to know what they want with this game

No. It’s actualy many many people considering each day if they give D4 another try or not. Some do some not. It’s not 1 guy playing D4 saying every day it’s the games last chance.

Doesen’t matter. When your “Customer” already reached the point of considering wether or not they give the game another chance you already failed hard.

This point should had never been reached. But here we are many people unhappy about Diablo. You can bet there are people deciding to stop playing every day. Maybe just a few, but this will stack up. The downfall of Diablo would not be a quick blow, it’s kinda more like Endgame in D4. slowly crawling to its inevitable end in small increments.

Performance should be fixed before any season 7 drop, since VoH performance has been bad, very bad !

They kept your money and didn’t use any of it to test the game. I hope I solved that mystery for you!

voh is already a flop, s7 can only hope to improve it a small amount

Have to disagree… 4GA gear is not abundant (neither is 3 actually) and the forums and FB is full of players complaining about the scarcity of ancestrals rather than even finding GA gear.

Just curious - what’s that based off of?

It might be due to duping but the in-game trade chat is full of people selling 4GA and 3GA gear around the clock.

They just need to buff the other classes…

Bring back ball lightning…
Bring back HotA…
Bring back twisting blades…
Bring back charge barb…
Bring back Andarial rogue builds…
Bring back beta Bone Spear…

Buff the skills that nobody uses, e.g., incinerate, reap, all druid skills, etc.

I don’t understand the decision to make one mega class each season while nerfing the rest.

Realm Walker sucks, too. I’ve logged off out of boredom a few times following that stupid thing around.

Yeah… this is what we all know but Blizzard don’t.

Class balance is bad for D4. I’ve dumped more hours into S6 than both previous seasons and it’s because of the LACK of class balance.

Alts are just as enjoyable to play, if not more, than SB and has kept me much more engaged than if I rolled an alt with equal capabilities of my SB. Hopefully they continue this trend into S7.
