S7 - Stash Space

I know that this has been an ongoing discussion for several seasons, but feel like I need to bump this up again. I play both seasonal and eternal content. I now have one max level character of each class in Eternal, plus a Seasonal Spiritborn.

My organization approach in my stash is that each character has a tab, plus a general tab for runes and boss mats. Once we get to Season 7, I will not have enough space for my Spiritborn gear, let alone all the runes and boss mats I have accumulated.

I feel like the new armory feature in season 7 will actually exacerbate the situation with people holding onto more sets of gear per class.

Can we either have more stash space or a way to get runes and boss mats out of our stash entirely?

Thanks!

Going to add this as I think it’s relevant here.

Basically it’ll be a work in progress until we see results later down the line. Definitely won’t be here for S7. I highly doubt we’ll see a change before S10 if we’re being honest and we’d be lucky to see it by then.

Stash space in general has always been an issue in the game. With the fact you load everyone’s stash upon loading into an area, coupled with all the items they keep throwing at us we have to collect for various things. Sadly all we can do is wait at this point.

fair point, i can see that happening as well. I never really ran into stash issues before, but i also changed my hoarding habit quite a bit compared to d2.

id love if runes stayed outside of the materials page to be honest, especially for trading purposes. However, on boss mats i agree. I think they should have gone to the mats page since s3, especially to conquer duping.

Actually, its been an ongoing discussion since D3. Probably D2 as well. It is the eternal complaint, no pun intended.

Stash is a real problem for any players crossing over to the 3rd class and playing multiple builds.

If you are in eternal, its a bit worse as players will keep very well rolled pieces of gear in anticipation of potential changes down the road.

Its a shame that they havent reallt fixed this problem considering that they have precedence with d3.

Granted each time my stash and second account is full, itemization changes and it zeros me out. But it does take 2 full seasons for me to exhaust 2 sets of stashs. Or 1 season to run out of space.

If you are seasonal, i can see this not being a problem.

Nope, can’t want things that D4’s competitors have, that makes us D4 fanboys look weak! No auction house, no endgame, no stash tabs, only one op class, and certainly no free skins for watching blizzard streams. Just yuck to all of that!

still stand by whoever coded that should have been fired on the spot. makes no sense whatsoever.

It says a ton.

It was a purposeful limitation that another game with similar concepts around loot eschewed in favor of something far more user-friendly. One, it shows it’s possible, and two, it’s a reminder that having severly limited space doesn’t detract from any sort of immersion or other nuance of the game.

If you can’t handle a simple, meaningful comparison, you’re the one that should probably go away.

or they can give us more character slots…for playing different builds of course…and mules

For the love of Diablo, please let the longer future be the next 4 weeks! non stacking items and limited space are a HUGE bottleneck and VERY limiting to those who like to play alts.

In past seasons I have kept all my chars to one class to minimize the problem with storing items for multiple characters, in S6 for the first time i played 2 classes (because I kind of had to) and it has been a nightmare to manage gear.
every time i see something that makes me think “hhmm maybe ill try that class”, I’m immediately snapped back into the reality of where the heck am i going to put their stuff.

Some things that would help:

  • AH - if it meant I didn’t need a tab or sometimes 2 dedicated to dTrade items
  • Stacking horde compass (or being able to craft them again so I can salvage them all on pickup)
  • higher stacks of boss mats
  • runes in a codex like system
  • 2 gear tabs on each character instead of one
  • being able to buy 1 more stash tab
  • another row added to current pages
  • a setting to auto salvage NMD sigils and craft them only when I need them
  • player “Salvage Skill” so i don’t need a blacksmith
  • portable anvil to salvage and not just repair

Exactly! It’s only gonna get worse if they don’t finally make meaningful improvements to stash space. One of the greatest failures of the development team that they’ve gone silent about fixing the code that is the supposed cause of our stash woes. It makes one wonder… :joy:

It is rather telling that many games have far more stash space than D4.

Why do you think that Blizzard wants stash so limited in D4?

Are you questioning Blizzard’s technical acumen? Their financial constraints?

People have been asking for more stash space. We hear you.

We have been working hard behind the scenes and can announce we will be giving everyone access to an additional stash tab in season 11.

Also for seasons 7-11 we will be cumulatively adding a whole lot of items and seasonal consumables that have to go in your stash.

Thank you for your valuable feedback, it helps us improve Diablo 4.

– Blizzard, probably.

Yes please!!! Especially runes!

Yes, we need more stash space. I play a Spiritborn and a Barbarian. Once the Paladin arrives then I’ll play that one as well. Simply not enough stash space to do all these classes.

also you guys are forgetting we only get 2 additional character slots for a $40 expansion…half the price of a full game…i am expecting at least 6 additional slots…i bet they are waiting for us to make noise first…if not they are giving us a short change.

It’s a good thing Armory is coming, still don’t short change us.

Man, this is almost TOO exact.

Im still shocked how they managed to get the same bad code from d3. I mean they were well aware that it was bad in d3 yet they somehow still managed to get it over to d4.
