i would have to disagree with this opinion. poe2 is horrible imo and d4 even with all its issues is far superior.

When the only addition to the game with S7 is a rehash of S2, what exactly is “good” about the season?
Grinding the same Ubers that die in 1.5 milliseconds? Well, I guess they die in 1 millisecond now due to the witch powercreep.
There is still nothing to grind “towards” in the game. You’re just playing to sit in the boss spawning room while 3 other randos stick bought-and-paid-for summoning materials into the altar.

D4 would fundamentally have to change damage and health of players and creatures. The method of challenge in this game is all about dealing with a mass of creatures and killing them fast enough to manage it. In D2 a single creature could be a threat, and you had to manage that threat in case more came (think of Den in Act1). I too miss D2, wish that was the game they would have made. Instead they went the D3 route to give more instant gratification and FX to please the ADD teens (who couldn’t tolerate more than 2 seconds without active combat filling their screens)
After reading your post i come to conclusion that not only Blizzard needs to raise their bar.
If you have fun they do not need to “raise the bar”. If you feel like they need to raise the bar don’t tell me you have fun.
If the bar is not up what do you enjoy? Mediocricity?

Yes! Damage numbers. D4 winning!
This season is good but they need to change up the seasons and what is relased. It seems kinda the same since the vampire season which was fantastic but its like ok when is it going to change change. I feel like im watching law and order episodes where people tell me each episode is different but really isnt, just the same thing but different people over and over and over. I hope we dont have to wait till the next expansion for some dramatic mix ups.
