Adding my name to the list. I have been trying to play since Tuesday. Not having a fun experience. Hope you guys figure it out soon.
Oh, and in case location matters, I am located in Detroit, Michigan.

I just went through my most recent Fenris.txt file and the only difference (aside from the hardware, ping times, and server connections… I’m also in USA) is a specific line your Fenris.txt file that shows right before your first disconnection:
[Game] Reward button does not have a valid status! Check initialization code in CreateUI.
I have no information on this as my game is not crashing or experiencing issues.
All of the information above this line is pretty much identical to my own .txt files.
I’m wondering if you have any other Fenris.txt files in that folder you can reference to see if all of them contain this same error line and if they are immediately before a disconnect.
Also, if anyone else is having disconnect issues please check your Fenris.txt files for this line as well.
@DTMAce mind checking your files?
What are you trying to say here?
That if you don’t use the shop you crash? lol
That would be funny. I will try to look at them in a bit, but I remember seeing this in various files, though I usually didn’t worry about it, nor associated it with an error.
I’m not sure exactly if that’s what it means or if that’s the intended description that’s recorded in their text file, but it’s odd that this is essentially the only thing that differs from mine.
edit… how many that and that’s can I use in one post
Of the 8 Fenris files, only 3 have that error line.
Okay, so I just logged in at 8:07pm EST to get a fresh fenris for you to compare.
I logged in, ported around a few times, opened the shop, ported again and then exited.
Remember, I don’t experience any issues with the game at all.
Here’s one from last night from the video I posted, when I was doing all the teleporting till the game started to wig out:
Though it didn’t technically crash, it might have info. I haven’t really reviewed it yet.
Been a busy day here.
Just realized Direct Storage is disabled on mine, yet I’m not running that command. Interesting.
Okay, that is opening up a whole new rabbit hole of worms. Apparently my system is not running it, despite showing it can according to the xbox bar settings.
Looks like I may be breaking things here soon. Time to order a 2TB NVMe and reload the OS from scratch! lol
Yay me.
Okay. Updated to 551.86 from 551.31. Just to see if an incremental update helps. I had the next few pre-downloaded some time ago, can’t even get them now from nVidia.
Also going to reset my LocalPrefs file for giggles since I updated.
Well, I have been tinkering with it. A lot tonight.
Updated the driver incrementally to 551.86. (not new enough for D4 to be happy with it directly, but whatever) Reset the card defaults on install and the LocalPrefs file.
Found some… Interesting results.
Did my teleport around the world thing again, but without RT enabled. Took longer to fill the memory, but before it filled too much, it did a little hiccup (kinda like it did in my previous test) then start looking all funky when moving.
Then I discovered that turning off Frame Gen fixed that particular issue.
I’m now running with FrameGen off, and DLSS off, still getting just about 110FPS solid (I was trying to run a higher FPS to lower the in-game latency)
Going to once again, jump the driver to the next version I have and see what that will do.
Interesting with the testing. Game is running mostly fine, but I’m trying to narrow down some issues, not the least of which as to why my direct storage isn’t enabled…
