S7 Dark Citadel PK'er warning!

I hope blizzard considers this now that an escape death mechanic in S7 was hinted at, primarily the effect its going to have on potential ways player can kill other players in the Dark Citadel!

Maybe a ban on escape death mechanics for that activity? Sounds harsh but I hope someone thinks of a solution especially for us HC players.

Have to be more specific, what exactly are you talking about? Don’t be vague like Blizzard, come on now.

If you time over via Impending Doom, the run fails, ending in death. It’s a bad situation in HC, where you literally rely on others to finish. In S6, I heard Spiritborns are immune though… :joy:

Ah that’s where the OP is going with this. I could see it potentially being a problem. However it’s HC, and you would hope people would form a party with people they trust to do the content with, rather than some randoms. There’s a reason HC has little to no parties up in the party finder.

Better alternative would be to run DC on the SC realms instead. Definitely not worth the risk on HC.

We’ve already solved your problem and moved on. However for future reference, it’s best to be specific when asking for something. Blizzard isn’t known to catch onto subtle hints.

no one is immune to impending doom wipe mechanic, but dont run dc with randoms in hc. i got my hardcore achievement for dc running with friends. would never run it with a random

Unless they are adding a new feat of strength for the Dark Citadel in S7, there’s very little reason to run it.

But you posted you don’t have VoH? An entire thread about the “woe is me, things are locked behind VoH”.

Here it is, in case others wish to.

You didn’t actually disclose whether you own VoH or not.

So one of two things are true:

  1. You don’t actually own VoH, and this issue that doesn’t actually exist doesn’t actually affect you, or anyone else.
  2. You do actually own VoH, the fictional issue will never affect you, and you created an entire thread merely to rile people up.

I’ll let you decide which is true.

Now the full circle. This thread is another example of a solution that isn’t needed. HC characters die. That happens. Don’t group up with strangers that can do things like pull a ton of mobs to you; or in the case of Dark Citadel miss a timer intentionally.
