Based from what I had seen from other players and my experience in PTR 2.0, if nothing much will change in S6 and LS Sorc gets nerfed, Sorc will be average.
Average doesn’t mean Sorc will be weak but just a good baseline of things.
Edit: Good thing I don’t have to worry about this in S6 or theory craft really hard because I am gonna be playing Spiritborn
I haven’t seen many nerfs slated for LS.
Well, there is the fact that they’re capping Conjuration Mastery at 30 stacks. That should probably lower the ceiling a bit.
but then again Destruction glyph, Familiar Enchant, and thew new keystone are significant buffs. the build may change a little, but stronger in some ways, weaker in others.
besides the stat squish, the skill even got buffed itself…
but i went from hitting for 40 milly to 4 mill with only being able to use 5 boards in paragon system now…
not sure how other builds are going but it felt hard to clear T4 stuff cause i couldnt get armor capped
Wait and see most of the adjustments will come after they have gathered the info from the PTR so about a week before season 6 launch

I would have agreed on you but the fact is not “ALL” will be crying. Some will be happy even those that main LS Sorcs.
Not everyone is fond of LS Sorcs even among the hardcore Sorcs.

It’s gotten a few nerfs so far on the PTR. The temper chance to doublecast Lightning Spear has been lowered to 40%.
Then of course the cap to Conjuration stacks. I forget what the other one was but these two were the biggest change if I remember right.
Firebolt Sorc completed higher PIT tier than LS.
In S 5? Wouldnt have expected that.
Played firebolt in S4, its boring as hell having to cast a firewall
Most player cast the firewall with Macros in the game mouse. If you don’t have one can purchase the Steel Series Aerox 5 Diablo 4 mouse 
It is season 5. Basic skill still OP, it gets better with Shard of verathiel. Shattered is broken with trillion damages.
I have a razer naga which I can add macros with easy but I do it only in WOW.
D4 rotation is way too simple
If it isn’t nerfed, that would silly. Not only cuz it is OP, but also that builds without it are all subpar. It needs a nerf and nearly everything else needs a buff.
Even so. It is finicky, its aoe is weak and bad in speed run content. LS requires minimal input from the player and hits everything on the screen. Not to mention it also CCes everything.
Even after all that skill dmg adjustment for sorc in S6 patch note, nothing has changed from the previous season. Sorc still rely on damage from item static number, not the skill damage itself.
LS depends on Splintering high roll and on 2H + crit damage synergy, it has nothing to do with LS skill point dmg nor anything about maxing FO. Same goes for CL Axial.
Why create Winterglass unique just to make FO as a proxy skill.
