The Good!!!
- Love that the other classes are getting a boost. Does feel a little on the light side. Still good. Playing barb again makes me enjoy the game much better knowing SB bugs will be addressed in the real D4 2.0 launch come Season 7
- I like the improved drops rates and crafting systems. For the most part, drop rates seem pretty good and costs are down. Still, gold cost is ridiculously high and for what? gold farmers are making bank is like the only reason. Still need adjustments to rawhide and iron chunks maybe too?
- Hoping all the new events stay on with Realm-walkers and we keep adding more events like the upcoming witchy territory.
- Like the Opals, however, feels excessive to need this in addition to all the other bonus’s for xp to get to 300. Don’t hate the slow crawl addiction since I am not a pro 8hr streamer. Still fun for a part time hobby at half rate ‘tiny’ time.
- Enjoyed the new Raid. Good for a little bit of extra fun but I did not feel pulled to do it as much as I wanted to really get into it.
- Love the scrolls that just drop too high for the tempering. Still feels like we should use Scattered Prisms to lock masterwork levels in place to bookmark wanted critical successes or something to turn those extra scrolls into that with prisms or remove critical masterwork successes.
- Love the cow level hunts. Both parts have been helluva fun time!!!
- Love the Mezo-American theme with SB. Love the true design akin to part of my culture getting real accurate level design. As someone who loves S. America and grew up apart of the culture, it does gets me a lot of complex and complicated kinda feelings, while being typically considered white, and also of a mixed variety of cultural upbringing. I love culture and the level design feels extensively well thought and artistic, and culturally accurate. It’s beautiful to see it represented so well and well thought out all around in regard to the SB and our some new culture for the game. I have always enjoyed the thematic approach to cultures like the Necromancer of Egyptian theme in D2. It doesn’t feel exploitative to me, even if the female design is clearly the most revealing. I do appreciate a beautiful woman now and again so it feels like home. A lot. In a lot of ways. Does there have to be anything really wrong with that?
The Bad? Kinda, only a little…
- Really wish we had a way to not spend too much gold with a bonkers economy of gold like it’s income inequality casino overlord running D4. Sorry devs. Not your fault.
- slowish crawl to 300ish
- gold crawl to feed gold farmers? I dunno… just seems offish? Why is the economy so bonked? Crazy meta story maybe? Seems like a cool idea too, I dunno, maybe?
- Buff to classes is still a little light
- With SB bugs gone and so many other bugs still present, makes me really miss splash dps or dots from D2. Maybe something for S7?
- Drop rate for Ancestrals is a little too low. Feels like your on the right track buffing this through a new in game something…
- Still feels like we need better seasonal events and we were sore we missed out on the D4 Spooky Season vibe a bit with all our usual dopamine matrix farming
- Could mos def need another in game event with more legion style events and more chaos to ramp up and mix things up a bit. Maybe a turbo charged event like a new raid too since the first one worked out not bad all things considered. I kinda want to get sucked into enternal realm combat and capture the flag competitions with old builds and gears and bug free where the playing field is more level.
The ugly, unfortunately…
- Still feeling very anti-capitalist about the MT shop system and the overcharging and gambling addiction systems. of course, i must have my dopamine if I have nothing left… le sighe… if only they had a dopamine patch. I really do not want a chip in my brain.
- The ‘feels like constant cyberwarfare in the game from N. Korea’ sucks with the lag in pits and overall in the game. I know coding is hard and I know server space is expensive as is a lot of cyber security concerns and I know it sux sometimes and you do all you can. None of that is ultimately on the devs and more about having the right money and tools to combat these things. Only thing capitalism might actually be helpful for ultimately. Here’s hoping you all can get the right tools for some kind of tracking or ddos mitigation and whatever else you need to help combat these real world problems that happen and why we need work arounds to combat terrorists overseas and behind enemy lines.

Haha! Who actually thought I would do a tldr; and not do a goofy performance art full review for a 5 star hype plug?! Did you read all this? Good! Thank you for being a part of it and being here for the fun in game. I feel like gaming history is happening as we hit D4 1.50 with this midseason patch update and it’s great. There is def a lot of improvement coming from the devs and I am grateful I am here for it this Thanksgiving! Here’s to hoping we do not have to a 1.75 and get straight into D4 2.0!!
