S5 - Sorc should have an Axe(DoT) NOT Mace(OP)

Maces :thinking: …Did I miss something about Sorcs and Overpower?

Yes I’m happy Sorcs are finally able to use Swords and Azurewrath is now an ‘agnostic’ Unique item. That was very long overdue. :+1:

But Maces with Overpower implicit? There’s Z E R O synergy here.

  • Axes are now DoT - Damage Over Time implicit
    This would allow for 1h(Axe) + OH(Focus) -OR- Staff for all DoT builds.
    Sorcs are all about DOTs!(Some builds)

As for Maces:
Necros always had a huge weapon pool and Overpower is part of their Design:
Give them Maces AND Axes.
I’m sure nobody would care because they’ve always had access to so many weapons - at least it would make sense as they have skills and aspects that actually have Synergy with Overpower.

p.s. It would also LOOK a lot cooler in the transmog dept. :axe: :wink:

  • Edit: IF, for example, VoH is doing something with Sorcs & OP - I understand this decision.
    What I suggest is giving Sorcs Maces AND Axes if there’s something coming Soon™

Axes should just be part of the kit with Implicit changes.
Why limit DoT to a 2 Hander if y’all are changing things up? Just don’t get it.

Overpower would be useful if, Sorc could fortify some how. Be it through tempering/aspect whever…

I see your point @OP but they’re trying out to give more options to try instead of 1 more useful option to be available twice

And b.t.w. for the record instead of changing the existing ones, they should’ve added a separate subtype

  • Wanderer Wand => LH
  • Battle Wand => Vuln
  • Magic Focus => CDR
  • Wanderer Focus => LH

Or something like that… :thinking: :slight_smile:

Yah op sorc overpower build with dat 20k life and no fortify!

Hit for 7 dmg so a 700% improvement to now.

Im making Overpower sorc now called OP sorc.

They should have both.
All items should be equippable by all classes.

Personally I would love to see my sexy Sorceress swing a two handed mace or sword like the Grandfather lol
