We can laugh at Chinese gold farmers all we want but they are right about a serious exploit going around. You can convert seeds to raw gold at a rate of 1:10 by gambling chest pieces and vendoring them. Since the exploit allows you to get 100 billion seeds in 10 minutes, you effectively have infinite gold and are only limited by how fast you can vendor your gambled chest pieces. With effective automation, this adds up to around 500 million gold an hour.
With bot armies pumping in billions of gold into the economy, things will look even worse than they did during S1 with gold duping. Something has to be done.

While I don’t personally engage in the economy of D4, I can at least understand the concern here. It does cause massive inflation for those trying to legitimately play the game and trade amongst their peers. I have no doubt they are working on fixes and will be banning people appropriately in the future. Hopefully before Season 2. However it wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see a fix until that time.

You can also keep gambling on equipment, so you don’t need to keep killing monsters.
What you’re saying is only true if you don’t participate in the economy. If you want to trade, then it becomes an issue you can’t avoid.

Silly Question but can’t they just find the bot accounts and ban them? They are the ones with billions of seeds.

I hate to say it, but I don’t think they quite have the staff yet to be hunting down bots constantly. Probably why Joe S. looks tired all the time, they got him workin the graveyard shift to combat the bots.

If there is ever to be an economy in Diablo 4…
First people will have to point out the issues so the billion dollar company realizes the issue. (We paid to beta test / submit bugs).
Second, we have to bring it up for about 6 months just to get them to acknowledge it.
Third, we will have to wait another 3-6 months for them to release the fixes or changes as features on an expansion that we have to buy.
Fourth - who cares, horrible release by a greed infested company. Go play Last Epoch!!
Pvp can give you a lot of equipment, including military hats. Have you ever tried it?
I have tried it on eternal, it was pretty much a set of cosmetics for you, and 6 for your horse and a mount (which I have). Did I miss the military hats vendor is that on seasonal only?

This is probably a poor google translation of battle gear. Meaning you can exchange seeds for gambling gear.
Usually cosmetics and gear, thats what PvP is, Gear being near useless.

Let it burn to the ground. Maybe it wont be worth it for them to farm gold costs to sell on RMT sites. Bots go away cause electricity will be more expensive than penny stock price of gold.
It take more time than it should for blizzard to ban accounts. But because profit is made they just buy anothet copy and run it for 2-3 months before that account is banned.
Gold really should have been made untradable by now. I wonder how long it will take before Blizzard come to their senses this time around.

Which one? They’ve tried fixing this multiple times now. The exploit still persists.
