S11 changes not great

I won’t go into too many details because I just don’t care enough anymore and this my last post on the forum. I tried the ptr, it’s not for me.

All the affixes, especially when I’m trying to enchant, gave me flashbacks to the old itemization system. The re-rework to resistances seems pointless. It all feels convoluted.

If you like the upcoming changes, have fun. As for me, I’ll be leaving this game behind indefinitely.

I say there is nothing wrong with skipping a few seasons here and there.

But what ever you do decide to do Azure, I hope your happy with it.

*On another note, I can’t recall…but I think we in the past were at odds with 1 another, but I can’t really remember . (I always get you mixed up with another user with a similar name and Avatar…it’s Frustrating trying to remember).

BUT anyway - - Have fun!

Know the feeling. I too gat tired of the back and forth stuff that seems to plague D4. I sat out the last three seasons, So it’s not a big deal for me to sit this next season out.

I’m with you on this one - s11 simply can’t go live - I don’t know what the devs were/ are thinking.

The changes to resistance and MW are terrible. They insist on changing simple and easy to understand systems. Now we have any resistance number that we have no idea if it is good or not. MW is poor and uncreative. Raise your pants to level 20 and get more armor. Wow, that’s cool.

If this went live, it’s 1000% a skip season for me and I can explain why.

Playing new builds, playing builds a different way, theorycrafting, these are huge reasons people play these games every season. What avenues for change do we have in the current state of the game?

We haven’t seen new skills since the last expansion.
No new paragon boards.
No new legendary aspects.
1 new unique a season and that’s been hit or miss.
Very sparse balance adjustments the past few seasons.

That leaves the season mechanics as the means for change and there really kinda isn’t a seasonal mechanic this season.

Divine gifts are a complete miss for me. I slot them, I don’t particularly care where and I passively get some little rewards back. There are an extremely minimal amount of decisions to be made here. Nothing really interacts with anything else, it’s have some more armor and we dropped a few more lair keys for you.

Sanctify really disappoints me. I expected a lot more. I’m not risk averse. The “bricking” doesn’t bother me. It’s just how pointless it is. Your odds of getting anything you even remotely care about is about nil. It’s so random you can’t plan around it and if you did get something good, it’s not good enough to pivot your build to take advantage of it.

I like how the Lesser Evils are in the activities and the overall atmosphere this season, but that ain’t carrying me 50 hours.

i will because you wont, fixed tempering in the worst way possible and you can just pick the stat now making the reroll scrolls useless, leveling is even faster now so the season will be over on day 1 instead of 2, added another useless endgame activity with no loot and after fixing the tempering problem ie bricking items they add another way of bricking items into the game. its like they are def and dumb

uhh… This is a Public TEST Realm. They are testing boundaries and limits. After the test and evaluation there will be nerfs and buffs. Some things now are set to the extremes just to see what happens. Adjustments will be made.

I think this is a great example of “be careful what you wish for”. All the noobs, and long time players who never advanced past the beginners phase, are the one’s who are going to suffer the most. Maybe just maybe a few will learn to keep their mouths shut and focus on learning how to be better players rather than running to the forum with their worthless feedback.

Yep. I agree with you. The re-re-re-rework for the sake of rework is really pointless. It just really makes sense that this is a massive prep for xpac 2. However I don’t think is the best way to do these changes.

Also I am kinda sad to see you go. I would say take a break. I took like 3 seasons off. Don’t delete your Bnet account which I did. It was a huge mistake

creating a problem so that they can sell the solution to stay relevant in the studio to avoid layoffs.

(12 hours ptr play)

We call that job insurance in my line of work. If we resolve all the bugs and deliver a perfect product, we are worried we might be let go since there’s nothing to do lol

Ten seasons, every PTR there is no changes, just trimming unintended synergies that benefits the players.

this studio has been using it for 2.5 years. it just gross.

It really makes me wonder how you can have probably the most successful season and then take an elephant dump on the players.

Whoa this is a very short and low effort goodbye post (You must have snapped during the PTR and I dont blame you). You could have done better than this whimper and you deserved better than this. Sowwie u got fed up and left. Bye bye AzureOgre and may you find your next adventure fitting of your time. :waving_hand:

I agree that was the worse possible fix for tempering they could have done. Just axing one per piece and then adding another system that bricks the item even harder.
