Might as well. I did submit a bug report on the PTR for those two things. I was so happy when they said (in the campfire) that they bug fixed everything that the players submitted. Lies, all lies. /sigh.
Blizzard likes to do popularity buffs. If the playstyle is under use, it’ll receive buffs. So lets stay away from it for the next two seasons and see what happens.
Pretty sure most everyone stayed away from it since Beta. It was WW up until Gohr’s nerf/fix then all HoTA. Now it is Dust Devils with Double-Swing.
But how can we know for sure gushing wounds wasnt fixed?
Well, we can’t, not until we can test it when S4 goes live. But it was not in the patch notes, so I will assume that it was not fixed. I will be happy if I am wrong.
I don’t think Blizzard knows there is anything wrong with Gushing Wounds or that it is way underperforming despite the posts beinf made (I have made plenty). Unless Rob posts it overperforming on a video, I am convinced developers are leaning on play-testing from those 2 goobers that were playing D4 in that controversial video a while ago.
It starting to feel like illusion of choice. But honestly I think blizzard just doesn’t know what to do with Bleed.
Blizzard doesn’t know what to do because why bother with stacking Bleeds over 5 seconds when you can just one shot an enemy? Bleed inherently is a DPS (Damage Over Time) mechanic. It does not lend itself very well to a game designed around Burst Damage. When you have to have Rupture or Skullbreaker in order to speed up the damage, that is the problem.
Direct Damage is so overtuned in Diablo 4 that Bleed is less attractive. Rather than the DoT portion be Primary and Direct Damage be Secondary, it should be flipped if they kept things like they are currently. Bleeds then need to be more Utility based and less about the damage over a ridiculous 5 second time frame.
There is still room for a build that stacks dots and then has a finisher like Rupture for late game pit pushing and Uber boss fighting. That is here they should target this type of build.
Most of the game isn’t that though. To be honest, you are going to be still almost one shotting Bosses and late Pit with Direct Damage builds. Unless they go the AoZ route and increase enemy health to insane levels (please don’t) DPS skills are underrated especially when Direct Damage being spammed can deal more DPS.
Yeh. The only reason I play bleed builds is because every now and then, somehow, we score a hit that bleeds out the mob very fast and that is the fun part seeing their health bar just go down very quickly. It’s addicting.
Usually, they bleed out slowly and we have to hit them a million times, but like I said, every now and then they bleed out extremely fast and I can never replicate this consistently nor do I understand exactly why it happens, but I never stop trying to make it happen 100% of the time.

Do you using Gushing Wounds? If you have Ravenous, Rend an enemy, and GW procs the Bleed is pretty large. You could also be at Max Fury using Limitless and Edgemasters at the time of the hits.
I mean they even added an aspect in S2 I think that lets Rupture not consume the bleed occasionally.
And they just made the skill a guaranteed overpower. But no fundamental fix to the problem that it just screws you if it fails to kill on Activation.
Yep. Wanton Rupture. 30 - 40 second cooldown to not consume your Bleed. 15 - 20 second if you put it on a 2H. They honestly that it was so OP they had to not only put a CD condition on it, but also a ridiculous one to make it take as long as an ULT to come back lol.
Rupture should not consume a Bleed to begin with as a baseline. This would probably fix the healing issue it has. You only have 1 Charge and the only thing Ranks do for the Skill is reduce the CD slightly. The CD is fairly low and Weapon Master Aspect gives you a 2nd Charge but why the hell would you ever rank up Rupture?
Rupture animation is long and you can actually cheat it to proc while you walk off (which is funny) so you do not get stuck in a group of enemies and die.
Wanton Rupture should be changed to the current Fields of Crimson Unique. Proc a Blood Pool that deals Damage Over Time and enemies take x15% - x30% more damage while Bleeding.
Fields or Crimson Unique should be changed to a Rend specific Weapon.
I just thought up something. Rupture is guarantee overpower now. How can we exploit that? A whole bunch of cooldown reduction and tons of health with Fortify. Gonna see what I can do with Rupture spam.
