i know it is part of the expansion but runes doesn’t really need to be part of it. as a non vessel of hatred player i can still enjoy and play the game it just RUNES should be part of the BASE GAME not for the expansion. runes should be available for everyone!

well you of course you can want them to be part of the base game, but at the end of the day, its not your decision and such a thread wont make blizzard change their marketing strategy.
if you were unsure to get VoH, id personally say get it if you got the disposable income and like d4 (which i assume, since you obviously play) - alternatively, the holidays are coming, so sales will be there as well.

i dont care about extra skill point and paragon points. i dont even care about merc. and other stuff that comes with the expansion but if you put runes in crafting that’s a different thing. crafting should be part of the base game.

Ok runes can be part of the base game but in exchange weapons are now exclusive to the expansion.

or you could buy the expansion if you want to be able to get and use runes or craft specific mythics…
No they shouldn’t. The only thing they should do is allow players who haven’t purchased this dumpster fire of an expansion the ability to craft specific mythic uniques without needing runes by going back to the 4 sparks = 1 mythic unique recipes. But that would require too much work for them to do something like that, so you’ll have to accept the reality that the only way you can craft mythics without the expansion is to gamble them at the blacksmith.
Remember that you’re not paying for the game itself, but for a license to play the game. Blizzard owes you nothing.

Runes are perhaps the best part of the expansion. The current state need some work, but the potential for the system to become a main driving factor in endgame is there. They can develop the system into being something really cool.

Expansions add content. That content is part of that expansion. I don’t see why the runes have to be any different.

I’m kind of indifferent to this. I guess my general opinion should be is that vessel of hatred should be about story and location content. I think it’s absolutely fine to want mechanical content to be general with one exception. I would say that exception is specific to the new character class Spiritborn; anything specifically related to that should be expansion only.
It really isn’t fair though that runes aren’t part of the general game because that means that you would be behind other players when playing. I personally don’t care about such things but it seems pretty unfair especially when there are PVP areas.
What’s amazing to me is how many people are standing up to defend blizzard. I wonder if they’re investors or secretly blizzard employees.

This is all news to me, and if true I’m digusted to see mythic uniques that I earned by grinding 8 charters per season through the questline become bricked into items with like 20 dmg on a weapon, and then told that I can’t replace them without buying an addon because the drop rate is still virtually zero. And does this mean the dozen or so sparks I didn’t spend and carried to eternal are now useless?
Have not purchased the expansion and have no current plans to do so.

Valid point. If there isn’t any substantial exclusive content it’s not really an expansion. Still hurts.

Crafting is still a part of the base game -runes are not.
Just like content is still a part of the base game but Spiritborn is not.
The turtle enjoys its Kool-Aid, but how hot is too hot for a lawn chair session?
Wait for cristmas when there will be most likely a sale for it. If you get it for 10 bucks then you are at a fair pricepoint.
On top of this runes alone wont help you because without obols and all the other crap arround the rune topic that make them drop you’ll never have enough runes anyway.
