I am level 126 Barbarian. Doing nightmare dungeons, pits and tormented bosses. Im on torment 4 difficulty level but still not a single rune dropped. I had to trade to other players to get them. I own DLC Vessel of Hatred. Any ideas what I do wrong?

Yeah, they do. Do boss runs or undercity.
You get lots of runes but legendary runes are rarer this season. Make sure you keep all your runes so you can convert them.

The undercity is like 4 runes per run, so it’s worth it.

You just need VoH that it. Do like 100 durry runs you should get alot. If they arnt dropping for you on a game level no one would get runes.
Maybe… Go to Kurast, next to the Jeweler, you will see a chest. I remember that in the campaign they gave you a couple of runes for opening that chest.

Yeah there is a quest in VoH which is possibly required to unlock them. But I think it was part of the main story? Which I imagine you have completed?
Check for Yellow Quests in your quest log.
Problem was solved. Looks like I missed campaigne quest Act 7. Thanks to broken co-op mode haha

A piece of advice for you regarding runes: The item text when they drop on the ground is really close to the same color as the terrain in many areas and it’s super easy to miss, especially if you’re flinging things like frozen orb or blood wave that fill the screen with visual diarrhea. You’ll need to be extra attentive to see the drops. You may find that you end up seeing them after you return on a farming path or whatever. That’s how easy it is to miss them on the ground, and only the legendary runes have a beam to highlight their drop location, but even that’s hard to see sometimes.
Runes do drop, but there are far too many runes, so targeting the one you want is very difficult. Runes need to be trimmed and iterated on similar to affixes.
They do it just takes an ungodly amount of time. RNG seeming to improve the longer you play. For the longest time I couldn’t get a useable(means not a turd) ritual rune to save my life. But now I’m in the too many runes for my inventory stage.
Just owning the DLC is the first part. If you haven’t done the campaign to the point of getting the quest for runes they will not drop. After that you can get 500 moni drops and be disappointed like the rest of us. Good news is there will be plenty of overpriced dupes in trade chat.

To earn runes with Bosses? Wouldn’t it take twice as long?
Yes, it will take more time but it’s way more productive.
For example, I spent 2.5 hours doing 50 Tribute of Titans yesterday and got enough mats for around 130 Duriel/Anduriel runs. I got 15 legendary runes and 6 mythics from the bosses.

You get Tribute of Titans from Tree caches and the bosses themselves.
As you should. Legends say that if you send them enough tribute, the lady titans will have their skin on when they “attack” you. ^^
