Runes are a weak novelty

With grand gems, we can now socket 900 main stat into our gear (150 x 2 in helm, chest and legs). With the stat squish, 900 main stat is absolutely massive.

The runes, in comparison, seem quite weak. Having +3 skills for 5 seconds or Barbarian’s War Cry temporarily doesn’t seem nearly strong enough to sacrifice 900 main stat.

They need a big buff across the board, I agree. The offering requirements for invocation runes seem crazy in some cases. 700-800 offering to give yourself a barrier or make your next skill overpower is way too much.

And some of the effects are just plain bad. The LUM rune restores 1 primary resource but has a 1 second cooldown. So we’re going to waste 2 gem slots to restore a small bit of resource every second?
