In d2 a Jah Rune drop was such an amazing feeling If you found one. In d4 legendary runes dont feel something special. To adresse this make it more unique reduce the drop chance for legendary runes and reduce the cost to craft a mystic to one legendary rune. Let the Magic runes how they are.
Edit:
Reduce drop chance for legendary runes by 6 and the cost for crafting mystics by 6.

Many of us dont want or need a 1 in a million chance for stuff to drop. It wont work. It was already rejected several times over in the past when devs wanted to recreate this feeling with mythic drop rates and the community completely lost their minds over it and they reverted. This drop rate you seek is a relic of the past.
I say no on this.

Maybe i had add this: Not that rare like in d2 but i dont get it why we need 6 legendary runes to craft one mystic and 6 Magic runes. So the legendary runes feels not more worth than the magic ones. Divide the drop chance by 6 and the need by 6 for legendary runes. Not by 100000 like in d2
It was special because you were a 12 year old. Stop thinking that they are going to make a diablo that replicates the feelings you had as a child.

I Played d2 the Last time around two years ago and the feeling was staying quite the same

I played D2 again the last several months and dropped a Jah and was giddy for an hour. I made a sorc again here and dropped a Shako off torment two Varshan and barely batted an eye. It’s just not the same because you know it’s going to happen in D4 eventually. I’ve gotten 3 mythics in 1.5 weeks playing without the expansion plus the freebie random spark one. I can’t get the D4 runes without Xpac so that’s all I have to compare with, but it’s not a thrill. More of an “ah, cool, it’s purple,” on the first one. If runes are that easy to get I understand the lack of excitement.

Is that why no one plays it or the remade version of it? Because it’s so good?

They could give some gamers this same feeling by having alternate art cosmetic mythics. So you have a 1 in 100 or harder chance for a shako to be say Glimmering Shako and really glowly. All it does extra is cosmetic so no power is tied to it. This satisfies the ultra hard loot hunt for these 1 in a million gamers while not affecting everyone else.
You could even expand this to non mythics. This also opens up trade opportunities to sell bad rolled uniques but with alternate cosmetics you can salvage.

A lot of people play it. Why do you think there’s 100k bots in that game? They’re selling stuff to someone. Go check out traderie. Millions of trades all the time. JSP packed full of trades. Lobbies full of trades. Silly claim that no one plays D2R.

Does 100k bots really inspire that the game is in a good trade spot? Seems like a bad thing to me. Just as bad as our D4 S6 dupe epidemic.

Or ethereals…that would be amazing. Powerful gear that could break unless you waste it’s slots on a rune combo that makes it indestructible.
Point is there would be no bots if there weren’t players, as he stated. Has nothing to do with trade other than it exists, therefore people play the game.

You are just turning D4 into D2 at this point. D4 needs to come up with its own identity.

A 4GA Shako in d4 would also triggers something
so they did a good Job there.
For runes i would looking forward to see some adgjustmants between legendary and Magic runes.
In S0 the mythic drop is the talk of a town. Remove the ladder boss and mats to restore the glorious day of 1 in hundred million chance of mythic drop.

No. WE dont want mythics to be impossible. Current rate is decent. What they could do is add alternate cosmetics for the ppl that do want this ultra rare drop chance. They could then go for mythics with 4 GA and the alternate cosmetic effects. Maybe 1% chance for mythic to be alternate cosmetic. Everyone wins.
yeah D2 was too nutz in that you had to play so many hours to have a glimmer of hope to see a top level runeword. D4 runewords are all doable before you ever hit T4. Useful for making mythics i guess, but by the time you have the right runes, lost interest.
Diablo 4 has the record highest numbers of players when mythic was one in a hundred millions chance. D4 players have dramatically shrink from its all time high when everyone is having few mythic now by doing the hamster wheel ladder boss grinding. I can’t remember when was the last time I put an aspect of lucky hit chance with barrier on my helm, or a resource aspect on ring. Because I cant wear two helms and three rings. The new mythic hamster wheel system is boring and limitting build diversity.
There was more going on in the game than just 1 in a million chance for mythic. Any start of season is going to do that. The players rejected the ultra low mythic droprates overwhelmingly or did you forget???
Sorry that you are in the minority that was mythics 1 in a million but the rest of us dont like it and it was rejected and changed by Bliz. Its never going back.
My cosmetic idea gives u something ultra rare to chase. ITs a great idea. How about comment on that?

There was nothing going at the time 1 in a million chance for mythic. Everyone just try hard to complete the NMD 100. It was only the streamers rejected the ultra low mythic droprates overwhelmingly or did you forget??? Because they think they deserve to get the mythics by playing 24/7 compare to the lucky 1 in hundred million casual players who got it.
This ARPG is all about RNG get lucky drop and being excited. not grind 10 alts for reputation to farm the GA version of the suppose rare mythic.
Sorry you are the minority who remain in the game and excited on the Mythic hamsterwheel grind. I am not interested in the cosmetic idea as I am very happy on my " Devourer’s Venom" which look way better than the “Beauty in Sin”. If Blizzard release another cosmetic better than this one I will not hesitate to use my platinum to whale up my characters. Would not waste time in the boring boss ladder.
Sorry I know sorc cosmetic is bad, I share your pain
