Like wtf… I have found 6 mystic unique yet only 1 bac rune the entire season so far, 2 lith runes.
like holy, talk about taking the fun out of the game.
The drop rates are absolute garbage this season.

Just RNG. I got 20 BAC runes this season.
Sometimes RNG favors you, sometimes it doesnt. Keep at it and you can always trade other runes for bac runes.
It’s not just RNG, they actually reduced the drop rate of runes.

Legendary rune drops are significantly lower this season. But the lunar event repeatable reward cache drops Legendary runes pretty consistently
Its still just RNG. They wanted runes to have value, they now do.
Convert your lesser runes. I got a couple dozen legendary runes doing this.

Rune drop rates are seriously nerfed, streamers have confirmed it. First hand experience makes it obvious. But you can gaslight yourself with the “not enough data to make it statistically significant” argument, if that make you feel better. Hey, maybe you can do 20 000 tribute and 20 000 boss runs to gather the data yourself - just about enough to farm 5 of the 6 runes you need. ^^

Yes we are getting less legendary runes than last season. LLs point is that it’s just bad luck you’re not getting the ones you want. The devs clearly want legendary runes to be less plentiful and more valuable. This is the new normal. If you want to craft that mythic, you’re gonna have to spend some time.
Just a random question: Why does everyone want BAC so much? I see people crying about this rune constantly (and asking for 6+ in trade all the time). Is there something I’m missing (outside of not being a barb, so i probably truly dont understand)
It’s part of the recipe for crafting shroud of false death.

It’s not RNG, it’s GATED. I couldn’t get an Igni from a drop or by crafting. But after I traded a Bac for an Igni, I got 2 Igni from a drop and crafting almost immediately. So unless you tried crafting and trading to get your GATED rune, I believe it will remain gated.

Very true, much lower than season six and a big let down. It wouldn’t be so bad if they had something other just a trade channel to spam in. Game really needs an auction house. POE2 system is far from great, but still miles ahead of D4 and it is still in EA.
Why do people search for runes so desperately? To create the mythics? But mythics are so easy to get, the game gives a lot of materials for bosses, I’ve already found almost 20 of them. And for runes, you only need one to play the game.
Simple. With the Runes you can craft the Mythic you want. With the Bosses, you have to rely on chance. You might be lucky and have it drop quickly or you might be unlucky, do 100s or kills, collect 20 Mythics as you did but not have the one you need.
By now, many players have finished the seasonal quests, probably even the Lunar event which is extremely easy to complete. They have Sparks to craft Mythics but not the Runes. The problem is Legendary Runes. They were easy to get last season, especially from Bosses. Now, you have just as much chance to get a Mythic from a Boss than a Legendary Rune.

Nothing says you are a commitred d4 player like cattle-branding your pale tushy with a white-hot “bac”. The prestige! The pain! The Glory! The PLEASUREEEEEEEEEEE… splurt

Having completed everything in the season, the only “fun” thing i can do is try to drop a mythic. If i can craft it in an istant, What’s left for me to do? But I understand that everyone plays the way they like best, it’s just my point of view.
I had to craft an ohm rune at the jeweler so I could have the war cry runeword. Haven’t seen one drop. Finally got a shako in the undercity.
They only way to craft mythics is with runes. Otherwise it’s always a gamble. Restore 4 shards to craft.
I think the legendary rune drop rate nerf has been a bit overturned. So far this season, I’ve actually gotten more mythical gear drops from Tormented Bosses than I’ve gotten legendary runes from them.
i dunno why every other person having issues finding runes. Only been playing for 2 weeks, and i generally run the rune tributes, get about 20-30 of every rune, then go upgrade them. Last set got 2-3 bacs, 2 liths, 2 jah, 2 vex, 6 ohms, and a couple others. Super easy to get runes…
