I have a 4 floor house, which I installed the modem to the basement, and I have my PC on the 2nd floor. I have a Asus Lyra system, from which I can get 100 mbps connection on every ffoor ffrom WiFi. When I play with a wired connection from my Asus HuB, there is no problem, but with WiFi, there were 3 seconds of rubber bending, and huge lag spikes almost every minute. So, If you are playing on WiFi, here is the solution!
1-Hit the windows button, then type “CMD” to open the command prompt. Be sure to hit right click and run it as administrator, or yo will get an error after.
2- Copy paste the following string "netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=no interface=“Wi-Fi”
3. Don’t hit enter yet, cuz your wireless adapter connection name may be different.
4- Check your wireless connection name by right clicking on your wireless connection icon, hitting “Open network settings”, and hitting “Change adapter settings” There you will see your connection name like, “WiFi-3” or something else. Just add your connecction name affter “interface” on the command string! eg; netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=no interface=“Wi-Fi 3”
5- Hit enter. and BOOM! Reconnect and check if it works.
“I’m just a poor boy, I need no symphathy”. Luv U all, hate BLIZZ!!!
Aren’t you going to tell them how to turn it back on if they ever need to find a new network?
You don’t need to… If you have enough brain cells to do this, you can understand the command to type "enabled, or “disabled”.
netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=yes
Please research Windows commands before attempting to run them! No one here will help you if you jack up your OS.
You can’t jack up your OS with this command. You can type netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=yes interface=“Wi-Fi 3” or simply uninstall and reinstall your wi-fi adapter in 30 seconds to enable it again.
They sell 300 foot ethernet cables on Amazon SOLVED !!!
I never said you could. It’s a simple PSA, because you most certainly can jack up your OS just copy/pasting random Windows commands from the internet without knowing what they do
Just a helpful tip for the general internet people.
Thankyou I still think it stutters a bit though. Why dont Bliz just fix this in the code. Its kinda lame you have to use cmd prompt to a game that forces you to be online and cant be bothered to make wifi work out of the box. The store probably works just fine though, havent used it myself.
