This game is known to do this. The best thing you can do for now is to cap your framerate.
Frame limit for one super simple.
Gddr6x gets very hot 3080+. This game not very optimized atm
I’m playing on a 2070Mobile card fine it’s optimized. Stop playing the game with uncapped FPS.
This is a known problem. Disable Nvidia Reflex in your Diablo IV options and the temp should drop to around 60 C.
I have a 3080Ti and she gets hotter than a stolen radio so I know what you mean.
Go to Options and get FPS Max to 60. Problem solved.
I had to cap frame rate, remove shadows and some other stuff and still I get to 85 if my Air conditioning isn’t running. the struggle on d4 is that w/e you do don’t use the default settings.
The game is extremely well optimized compared to some other AAA games actually.
If you want to see a less than optimized modern game go look at something like Forspoken or Cyberpunk 2077 that can still make my RTX 4090 drop to less than 60 FPS with the right settings.
Cyberpunk is a 60fps single player game like the witcher3 thats heavy gpu demanded. D4 is nothing close to those game, yet not well optimize.
You can prolly run d4 max out on 2060/1660 but good luck running cyberpunk max out on the same gpu.
Try turning off , I think the setting is nvidia reflex. The input lag boost thing.
