Noticed my card goes to a temp of 80, fans run high when I am looking through inventory or at items dropped.
drivers are up to date.
Try this :
Then reboot.
I’m not prepared to reset my entire GPU settings because the game runs high when the inventory window is open. The rest of the game is perfectly fine.
You will need to limit your Foreground / Background FPS to something under 120 Fps or even 75 Mhz, I just fixed that issue by putting my FPS to 75 FPS as my monitor wont support higher refresh rate anyway
This is a common problem across every system and card.
Standing at any vendor’s, at the chest, at your wardrobe, even looking in your inventory causes power, heat, and usage spikes.
The only options right now, are to limit your FPS. You should cap it to match the monitor anyway.
Disable Reflex, this helps.
My monitor is 144 so set Nvidea control limiter as that. I wil try setting to 75 and see if that helps
If you are familiar with MSI Afterburner, you can use it to set a more aggressive fan profile for your GPU, that will help keep it cooler.
The problem with this vendor/user interface screen, is its actually heating the memory on the GPU the most. And not all cards report the temperature of the memory chips.
On mine, they run even hotter than the hotspot, but due to me capping the FPS at 144, setting a higher fan profile, disabling both DLSS and Reflex, the temp never exceeds 75C on the memory.
Game seems to run a bit worse since lowering FPS to 75 and unchecking reflections. Inventory fan speed is more stable but so laggy doing a legion raid and usually it is smooth.
At this point I am thinking about asking for a refund so I can run it on ps5
No.
Nvidia Reflex… Not reflections.
Thank you I think that might have worked.
Only in a dungeon at the moment so not sure what open world be like but at least it doesnt sound like im playing on a jet plan.
RTX 3060 here… confirmed, by disabling “NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency” reduces temps a lot.
