They have never rolled back anything in history of Diablo series.

It is really easy to remove the shako’s that dropped during that period. They should be doing that instead.

Preferentially, no they won’t cos its blizz.
I do not see having a shako improving my fun. I am almost completely done with the game until s1 ><.

They’re not going to roll it back. Either cope and wait until S1 (when these uniques will probably be irrelevant) or you can keep crying about it. Trust me, I’m mad too. But it is what it is. It’s just a video game. Literally just 1s and 0s.
They can easily remove all the items from all the characters that exploited it.
The other option is they can make it more accessible going forward.
Other games have had the same issue happen and most often they do a detailed item removal of every account and it costs the company a lot of money. Which is fair, it’s 100% their fault for not testing.

You assume that every item has as part of its hidden metadata the time and location where it dropped. An unlikely scenario.

Well if it’s such a minor thing, why do they charge us money for it? You can’t have it both ways.
I will, 'cause I really don’t give a s**t that someone got something in game that I don’t have.
I enjoy the game, and if I do end up looting an ultra rare unique down the road, good for me.

They did, they deleted lot of dupes in D2, lot of bugged ETH items were deleted. Zephyr stuff was gone and bugged armors. They can if they want to.

For most sorcs running shards it is not even a useful item, I got it a few weeks ago and don’t even use it.
We need the slot for shared misery aspect.
We already have to use three uniques for our endgame frost build for NM 100 groups.
They actually have an upcoming optional mode that will make everyone start fresh without the advantage of getting these lucky helltide drops.
Think they called it season one or something like that
