Rogues are beyond OP via PvP

Diablo 4 has honestly been a lot of fun. However, things are starting to become a bit redundant, so I like to run around the PvP areas here and there.

It’s always a good time until the Rogues show up. I’m sure this will irritate a lot of Rogue players, but there is a reason why the Rogue is the only class that can consistently shut down the area. There is also a reason why it’s the most complained about class via PvP.

Tone down the poison damage. Tone down the stun-locks. Tone down the 1-second kills. Tone down their dodges.

Do something to even the playing field. This is just ridiculous.

Nerf Rogues and you affect every other rogue player in the game. Many of whom dont PVP. I say leave classes alone. Or do like WOW did and create PVP only abilities. But dont nerf any more classes.

No I think it’s a good idea if they nerf rogues and ruin everyone’s experience, I’d love to see what else the white knights can spin after that.

In fact, another mass exodus is probably good long term, why would they do anything to improve the game other than cash shop of the money keeps rolling in?

Care for a duel? I’ll show you I’ve learned how to play.

Moreover, I bet you show up as a Rogue.

maybe you should try one for yourself, that way you can learn how to beat one.
But besides that, a game where you can just put another player on “ignore” to not face him ever again doesnt need any balancing.

how about you dont pvp because its not a pvp game.

So you come in with a snarky comment and then wuss out. gg. Ignored.

until this game’s itemization is fixed there is nothing that could make me install it again.

You make absolutely no sense.

There is no universe where a rogue kills a ww barb. Stop the cap son.

yea its pretty much Rock, Paper, Scissors.
People lack the understanding of how things get attempted to be balanced.

Name a game where rogues weren’t. :joy:

I don’t care where they go, i’m staying since i can’t find a better game. Even Starfield sounds :poop:.

On a serious note, as a melee main rogue and barbarian, i advise you to make a thorn pvp build. I killed myself a few times with my rogue on that and i thought it was hilarious.
I also tried Oculus+Infinite Raiment on a hydra build and i swear i could hear the rogues screeching which raised my trollface smile. :sunglasses:

OP, first I think PvP area is quickly evolving to team vs team. And a team of only rogues will lose to a team that has a sorc on it IMHO.

Second, while Rogue is clearly strong in this domain (it’s their profession as an assassin!) there are many strong barb builds that handle 1:1 combat that will trump rogue. At some point it becomes rock paper scissors. One build beats another but loses to something else.

Finally, once resistances are fixed, I wonder what will happen in PvP zone? If you have 2 poison reduction items does that basically zero out the rogue poison imbuement? Will barbs then reign supreme on the field again and it’s the rogues who complain? I don’t know how resistances will end up being calculated, but I DO suspect rogues will lose their PvP crown during that batch update already.

The only class I currently feel bad for in PvP is Necro, but since they can take down uber lilith and world bosses the fastest, I don’t feel that bad.

Okay, I’ll play your game OP.

Nerf barbs, wiz and druids, their unstoppable uptime is OP.
Nerf necromancers with their stunlock uptime, it’s OP.

Doesn’t matter if those classes suck in PVE, they’re OP in PVP. Nerf them please!

See how dumb those sound?
