Rogue Weapon Mastery passive applies wrong bonus to crossbows

The Rogue Weapon Mastery passive seems to be applying the Bow bonus when using a Crossbow. This increases the Vulnerable Damage shown in the the player stats and not the Critical Strike Damage as according to the passive tooltip.

The expected behaviour based on the tool tip is that the Critical Strike Damage should be increased by 15% with the crossbow.

When in town, my Vulnerable Damage is 221.3%. While out of town it increases to 250.2%. Yet my Critical Strike Damage stays the same regardless of being in town or out of town.

Just to tack on to this. The perk is not reflecting in the stats page. for example in combat swapping from crossbow to bow is not changing the critical strike damage in the stats page.
Whereas changing deadly venom perk immediate updates the Damage with Poison stat.

The internet seems conflicted with this and would be great to get an explanation on how the stats from wep mastery gets applied.

I’d love to know if this works, or how it works.

e.g. Swords should give you % all damage, but equipping/unequipping swords does not change the “All damage” stat on the character screen. Tested both with the ranged/melee weapons out and in and out of town. The value doesn’t move. Heck even unallocating the Weapon Mastery node doesn’t change the number)
Same thing with Crossbow. Crit damage doesn’t move at all (unless there’s some on the weapon itself ofc) when equipping/unequipping. According to stats, using crossbow actually gives me 2.6% more Vulnerability damage than it SHOULD according to it’s stats (which is less than 1/4 of Bow’s supposed bonus INSTEAD of a crossbow bonus) but certainly no crit damage.

Until someone from blizzard explains what’s going on, I’m just gonna assume the node doesn’t work at all, cause the random variation in damage makes it extremely hard to spot the difference (if you even bother spending gold to respec the node to test it)

Unless they take the line “Gain a bonus WHEN ATTACKING based on weapon type:” LITERALLY and the bonus is only applied to the each individual attack’s damage formula instead of your stats lol, which would be bonkers and improbable (but then again they openly admitted D4 loads all stash tabs of all players including their contents in your range for no reason at all so I can’t rule out absurdly nonsensical design)
