Will you guys be using Shadow imbuement or Poison imbuement for your builds on launch and why.
Well, if I were going to go with the Flurry build I’d use Poison Imbuement.
And, if I were to go Rapid Fire build I’d use Shadow Imbuement.
I think for Twisting Blades I’d use Shadow Imbuement as well.
Probably Shadow, for Toxic Alchemist’s Aspect., and build around traps, concealment, with Infiltrator’s Aspect and and either Rapid Fire or Penetrating Shot
I will at first use whatever the gear drops buff, same as I did in D3.
I am actually a bit torn on this… it seems Shadow imbuement is better for getting energy back quickly, while poison imbuement may do more damage… we will see.
Still no love for the chillers.
May sound crazy but I’m going for a penetrating shot 2 or even 3 imbues build.
Let’s see how it turns out. In theory, i can use shadow to get energy back and delete big packs of trashmobs, poison for big beefy targets and frost for CC and survivability.
If it doesn’t work, shadow, because it has energy regen and AoE, probably not the best choice for bosses but best for everything else.
I actually will go for cold imbue and maybe switch to shadow for dungeons, if that’s more efficient for either flurry or twisting blades, depending what will be quicker to get from codex.
For bosses, I test between cold and poison.
Edit: to clarify; will use cold imbue for crowd control synergy, for example pummelling that increase 40-50% dmg to frozen enemies (staggered bosses count as affected by all statuses including frozen), and resource on crowd controlled(chilled) etc
Still no love for the bashers.
Melee with Twisting Blades and Shadow Imbuement or Range with Rapid Fire, Traps and Poison.
This makes the most sense, especially considering the Paragon Boards and Aspects you can pair with.
Poison Barrage with clones ult and concealment crit is what i’ll be doing
I’ll be using neither. Frost all the way
Why? Because i’ll be playing in a group pretty much the whole time, and I like being able to freeze groups/stagger the boss more often to give the team some utility
Depends on loot drop, with “Aspect of unstable Imbuements”, you want all tree, because it gives you a 13sec CD Aoe even in 100% single target build.
With aspect of “noxique ice”, you want cold and poison for the synagie
and so…
In the end, it is loot drop RNG
there is also some synergies when taking more then one imbuement. That might be something your group wants aswell.
Icy alchemist aspect for example seems like a cool combo for a group. Or that poisoned enemies deal less damage.
during the beta I ran with shadow for the mobs of enemies
when i fought ashava i switched it to poison
I really like items giving me a +1 to imbuements or other similar things which allowed me to swap for the situation
Min-Maxing is the name of the game. If you choose more than one imbuement, then you’ll be a jack of all trades and a master of none.
It’s been this way in every ARPG ever, that you choose a single spec and max it out.
Also, you’re limited to 6 active skills and there’s simply no room to make a second imbuement skill feasible without loosing either your Ultimate or your Defensive skill in the process.
completely and utterly wrong imo.
why are there aspects that tailor into multiple imbuement synergies, if that wasnt wanted by the devs for some builds?
min/max doesnt always mean the purist and most straight forward route is the best.
Sorc, Rogue and Druid have probably the most options for some cool combinations that could very well be a lot better then just the purist route.
Yes, I’ve looked into these aspects and synergies aswell, but they’re only going to work in groups imho, where you have the freedom for more utility. As a single player you can’t do that, atleast I couldn’t come up with a feasible build making good use of the synergetic aspects.
But it’s not just those aspects, I’d say that 50% of all the aspects we know of so far will hardly ever see any use, for all the classes.
well i think your pigeonholing urself.
For example look at some of wudijos endgame builds. hes not the worst theorycrafter i would say.
A lot of his builds dont use a builder skill @endgame anymore. So its not hard to imagine that some builds have space for 2 imbuements or even 3.
I wasn’t talking about a builder skill there, was I? And yes, I’m very aware of what the ppl over at maxroll do, as I’m playing D2 and D3 for the last 15 years aswell, still playing D2 and D3 currently in fact while waiting for D4 release.
