Rogue loot thorns and str on most items dropping

Hi All!

I started hc with a Barb ( thorn, Ds ) which I killed playing half asleep. lvl51.
Started a Rogue currently lvl 51 and im getting alot of loot with thorns damage and strenght.
What is going on?
I had a rogue hc lvl 65 non season also sc lvl 76 none of those characters had this problem.
Anyone have this?

The loot tables are watered down as they are moving to make stats like crit, vuln, cool down reduction, damage reduction, and armor much more difficult to get.

I see lots of STR, INT and willpower on my gear. Plenty of thorns too. And my personal favourites of barrier generation and dodge chance with a barrier on a class that doesn’t have barrier generation. We also get lots of overpower damage affixes on a class that has no way to generate fortify or guarantee overpower hits which are the keys to making this sort of mechanic work.

And then there is the massive pile of conditional offensive and defensive stats. There are far too many and the reason why 99% of the gear you pick up ultimately end up getting sold or scrapped. There is no reason to take a piece of gear with multiple conditional stats because you are losing out on too much damage or reliable defence which you must have late in the endgame.

In eternal realm, i got a lvl 100 rogue. Most of my best gear came from traders. I have a crossbow and 2 sword with max atk possible with pretty good stats (not max % ofc, i couldn’t care that much) I got a max crit roll on my gloves and 1 ring, the 2nd ring i almost max crit roll with good other stats fitting my build. They came from trader also.
I would suggest you to check traders often after you reach ancestral gear, you can look out even for sacred gear if your build is really bad, but i wouldn’t spend too much on sacred stuff.

Edit: unless they changed something about the traders, but i don’t know about any changes regarding that.

Spot on. Well it will take alot longer to get good gear I guess.

I see thorns all the time. I guess I’m used to it.

Getting Bis Dual Affixes is not happening. Trifecta is Shako rare for me.
