Impressive quote from the game manager. It is not a 10 years roadmap that has been produced but 12 years one!

I believe they only revealed the front of page 1 so far.

Rod: “I have a ten year road map, it’s gonna be awesome.”

Players: “Show us.”

Rod: “Trustmebro dot com”

As always I’ll believe it when I see it. Ty Avalon for the update.

Don’t tell me what you’re gonna do, show me what you have done.

This game won’t be supported for 10 more years. The financial well will dry up and they’ll move to D5 or something else by then.

agreed lol. Didnt they at one point say we wouldnt have to wait a decade for a d5?

you know… you dont have to play diablo 4.

So, not only are you not getting a new expansion this year, but you’re also not getting D5 in the next decade.

why are you saying “you” as if you dont belong to us =)?

not surprised at all, considering diablo 3 launched in 2012 and we’re now at the end of season 34.

I’ll be astonished if they make it past the next expansion, which for the record, I expect to bomb.

They should honestly consider moving onto D5 now and just starting over. You can’t build a skyscraper without a solid foundation, and D4 doesn’t have one.

Game file behind a sub wall.

Icy veins didn’t seem to tell much other than there is a 10 year plan that they’re not talking about.

Windows central talked about borrowed powers and made wow comparisons.

IGN (march 1 on “right time for d5”) was a longish read without much additional info other than ptr breaks the surprise for about 10,000 with millions benefiting from a smoother season as consequence of the feedback cycle. So some indicators of numbers there.

On d5 he mentions to IGN about Destiny saying it would be around for ten years then it wasn’t and he doesn’t want to say that for d4. Instead he says it will be around for years” / “a very long time”.

No he doesn’t have to but maybe he would like to.

well, i would like to drive a motorcycle… but im afraid to do so. Stuff happens.

Damn as if I went back a decade and read a thread about D3 where people write similar things to yours. “Weak foundation, nothing will come of it anymore” and the like. D4 currently looks like it has gone into maintenance mode. The second xpack will sell as poorly as the first. Here no paladin will help, because the same people who cried that it is not in the first expansion bought it anyway :joy:.

As for Rod and his “big” plans, he has shown more than once that he is beyond words and later can’t remember what he said a few months earlier. This man should have left long ago for the sake of the brand.

I guess you’re right with the kind of “talent and imagination” that the current Blizzard has some things will not jump. Well you have to get over it…

well d3, is still getting seasons my friend. Even tho i dont like d3 myself, i accept that it has its playerbase

I think the 10 year map is for the franchise, not d4 specifically. I see a lot of comments about the game not being supported for that long but I think the map includes d5 etc.
