The fact that the majority of items on Discord are selling for billions right now is insane. The amount of glitch gold flooding the server is literally non-reversible. People can say this game has no economy system, but it does. People grind gear and sell gear to get gold to improve their items; it’s gold-related. 10 billion gold is worth about $7 right now, which used to be $500.
Edit: I’m not here to talk about RMT but it’s more about how duping created a flush of gold that will mess the entire econ system of this game where you as legit player can’t buy gear without RMT possibly because a 3/4 or 4/4 which desirable pieces are cost like 2b 10b right now
This approach may work, but unless they know how to fix the source of the gold, people who are aware of the glitches or exploits will continue to remain undetected.
As far as I understand it, duping gold involves modifying client-side game files. Unless they completely redesign the architecture of the game, this is not getting fixed. Ever.
Yes, that’s what I meant as well. It appears that some Chinese players have modified the game files to exploit this issue. They said it would take about three months to fix the resistance issue, but it is likely to take years to address the gold duplication problem.
All of these exploits and cheats ALWAYS originate from the closed betas and alphas. Blizzard should stop doing these F&F + streamer closed tests because people obviously just use them to find glitches to later use to their advantage instead of actually providing meaningful feedback. How hard can it be to hire a full-time professional game tester team? Surely a multi-billion corporation shouldn’t have any trouble with that.
"What? The trading system is probably the best aspect of the game. People are still actively grinding because they want to engage in trading and interact with others. Trading allows them to acquire gold and reroll their gears faster. However, rerolling has become more challenging since they removed primary rolls.
Nah it wont, the forum gold those who trade uses is permanent. So those with alot of fg get geared day 1 on a new season. I don’t really see it as much of a problem though.
If you spent $70 on the game, spending $7 to make it so you can have infinite gold, infinite rerolls on all items, never have to vendor items for gold, etc is just logic. Trading items and gold isn’t against the rules. But trading for items and gold that are duplicated and gained from exploits is.
Yes, some individuals choose to keep their exploits private rather than sharing them on YouTube for attention. Those individuals can be considered the true villains in this situation. Additionally, those who engage in gold glitching likely earn more money through RMT than the entire profession of game testing.
Trading I mean sure right now killed this game but it’s based on the exploit of the game
