I don’t know if this has been discussed already, but the official Blizzard-sponsored D4 Discord server “Sanctuary” is providing links to a “D4 marketplace” where people sell boosts and items for RMT. There’s basically 0 oversight and sellers immediately tell you to add them on Discord or Twitch to discuss “payment options” even if the initial offer is in in-game gold. For lucrative stuff like AoZ25 boosts or >50 Duriel runs, no one even pretends that the payment is going to be in in-game gold.
Seriously… what is going on? There’s going to be no ladder integrity.

Blizzard doesnt moderate or control the discord channel. It might be “official” but its not associated with blizzard.

discord server is actually run by the reddit moderators. not blizzard

most probably : it’s due to end of season.
they aggressivly want to clear all their stock before it goes to eternal.
but it goes even more to show how mats shouldn’t be tradeable and only the mat user should have the 2% drop rate of uber unique to avoid such things in the incoming ladder.

Don’t worry, there wasn’t any ladder integrity in D3 either ~ bots racking up your Paragon points while you sleep ~
This just isn’t the game for integrity and balance
Then again, I am pretty sure the top score on Returnal is fake, it’s like 10x the score of the runner ups and there’s no video of it unlike 2nd place which you can watch on Youtube.
I also finally played a Darktide match where someone was clearly cheating last night. There’s an actual skill that highlights stuff through walls and the class does a lot of DPS, but they were whipping around hitting stuff behind them the instant there was LoS. That wasn’t the “highlighting skill”, that’s an Aim bot.
Of course there are cheaters in every game… Diablo just attracts lots of them for some reason.

ooh yeah, people are getting like 200 duriel runs for 5 dollars.
i think it is closer to 2000 for 5$ at this point
we aint got any ladders around here. who cares what they do, lol. its their social network
Right hand feeds the left and vise versa. Imagine how many accounts these people are buying as they play cat and mouse with bans. Good flywheel for the company financial performance.

hey, if they want to turn the official blizzard discord into lord of the flies, god bless them

Wait is this true? Honestly that’s hilarious, sad, but hilarious. Moderators on that discord apparently are nonexistent I guess?
Let’s be real, what was the last game where you took the leader boards seriously? Now I’m not saying RMT shouldn’t be stopped, by all means ban them all. However I’ve never trusted the validity of any leader board for any video game. Well aside from speed-runner LB’s, but even those get faked sometimes too.
the d4 marketplace or diablo.trade is the official trade site for d4. it was created to replace the selling of items in an auction type way on discord. if you are being asked to make a real money transaction, report the seller.

There is no such thing that blizzard sponsors or runs.

How does this negatively impact your gameplay experience?

This is exactly the reason why PoE (GGG) made their own trading website.
Many years ago PoE had a “3rd party” trading site just like diablo.trade. It got infected with RMT adds etc. So GGG decided to make their own trade site to outcompete the old one and they did and the old one shut down.
Poe actually has quite a solid RMT market. easy to find via google

ya id say poe botting and rmt is way worse than d4. but when a person can get a new account for free when banned what do you expect. that is why it is so rampant

Would have to report the entire site then lol. Sellers of every item and boost of non-trivial value immediately want to discuss “payment options”.
