I believe that everyone who is here is because they like the class or at least sympathize with it. The truth is that the Druid has suffered since the beginning of the pre-season with a lack of resources in its builds and structural problems. We went through season 1 and season 2, supposedly with very strong builds, but which had a bug (bulwark in S1 and Shred in S2). Last season we didn’t have any bugs in the builds, but we had seneschal that provided great resource support which made several builds become viable as bouldering. This season the whole problem of the class was proven and aggravated, and for the PTR only some (ridiculous) skill buffs and nerfs on paragon nodes were presented, while barbarians had multiplicative damage of 300X. It’s sad, but Blizzard can’t have a decent and coherent balance. If I get into the subject of the magician (which would be another forum, maybe it would be even worse). I hope someone from development can read this outburst and take some decent action.
If you like Druid or Sorcerer classes, D4 is simply not for you. Looks like they want to squeeze Necros out next based on the rain of nerfs.
Barbalo 4: Electric Bashaloo
But at least I don’t have to have all these companions on my bar!
We should not play druid anymore, just barb.
Thunderstruck caped, thats what we needed blizzard, thank you!
U forgot they removed the Shephard Aspects buff to core and wrath skills. Now all of my core and wrath skills will suck for damage except if I choose to play a Werebear/Earth build and I can’t stand Werebears. WTH honestly it feels like the developers intend for all druids to be werebears considering they get all of the love where as Human/Storm and Werewolf builds get the shaft. And for those that disagree our main stat only benefits werebear/earth builds because it buffs OVERPOWER damage.
Could run Werenado with Cataclysm gloves (solves spirit and gives big multiplier) plus run Unsatiated on amulet + Retaliaton. Changelings would be nice if they just changed that to poisoned in general. LS is getting a big screwed here unless the whole attack speed fix is a massive buff too.
For Cataclysm stuff to be a viable spirit Regen tool overall we are going to need near 100% up time on it and with Blizz changing so many skills to CD starting after the end of the skill (Grizzly Rage is one) I highly, highly doubt that they will allow it to happen. If they see us doing it on the PTR we have every reason to believe that they will remove our ability to do it because even they have no idea what they really want Ultimates to be as proven by Ultimates either being highly underpowered and unable to be scaled, not lasting nearly long enough to be useful, or just not being able to be used them often enough.
If that would be true, Then one could assume that the people responsible for such unwarranted actions are at best immature and non- professional. You would think that their bottom line would matter more, You know let’s make everyone happy, Instead of playing these childish mind games with their customers. When the biggest challenge of a game like this becomes the worry of what might be nerfed next, It’s time to give the middle finger and move on. Just like the titanic this ship has hit an iceberg during a blizzard storm.
The thing is, you guys will be always unsatisfied and grumpy until it becomes too easy for u. Then you will whine that it is too easy😊
Its abundantly clear that they dont play their own game and there isnt specific class devs who tinker with each class daily.
And it shows. Full stop
Most devs play the meta builds, you’ll see them post time to time on X “playing the Andys Flurry build”. So they probably only ever experience the OP builds each season.
They really need to take the stuff that certain streamers like Ace, Moxsy, Macrobioboi, (and a few others) say to heart. Even better, these guys should be offered paid positions playing multiple builds and offering insights. They could assign 1-2 classes to each and have more than 1 opinion on each class/build to see if the feedback lines up. Something along those lines anyway, there are a lot of ways to do it but I strongly feel these guys are a good choice because they all approach their content with a level head and test things thoroughly while understanding the math behind the scenes. The devs are obviously overwhelmed and are not able to provide anything resembling balance, zits time to get them some help.
Sorry, gentlemen, for reviving this topic. But I think it’s pertinent given the moment our class is going through. After 8 months, little has changed (or nothing has changed) and we haven’t had any significant changes. Judging by the S8 PTR, it’s going to be another terrible season.
