Ring of Mendeln - Season 4

So I currently use this along with the Ring of Sacrilegious. Basically because I am lazy and do not want to pound the corpse explosion/tendrils/raise skeletons buttons millions of times. Obviously the developers knew this and made this item.

I can farm pit 60s right now and my gear is not even 8/12 yet.

Using the build from Icy Veins for this ring.

My question is whether there is actually any type of visual to see when the minion explodes for this added damage every 6th attack? I never see anything although it is usually a corpse explosion shadow damage mess all over the screen…so hard to see anything else I guess.

So is this item working for sure this season?

Well, you still need to cast Raise Skeleton/CE/CT to proc multipliers and to heal and empower you minions.
And you def need to cast CT more often than 8sec at best.
With that being said, the ring is basically useless outside of maybe openworld.

Pit60s is not very much, i mean 61 is what is needed to actually get all MW mats, but again 60 is not high even without any MW…

Mendeln ring shows the explosion around the target when triggered, its very visible. You can test this on the training dummy and unequip all your skills if you think the screen is too clustered with stuff.

And btw Mendeln ring is also basically useless since its scales of off your damage and multis, it does not take a single minion stat into its calculation.

I wouldnt recommend any of the rings at all for a Minion build, well if you dont want to push higher than Pit tier 60s, by all means use the rings, but if you really want to push and do hard content and Tormented bosses, you are better off without them.

Necro Minion build is not the “lazy” build people think or want, its actually very heavy on the button pressing and timings and rotations of skills needs to be very precise to be effecient.

For speed farming sacrelegious soul is realy useful.

@WINTALITY

So are you saying the auto casting of the Sacrilegious Ring (I have the lowest cool down version) does not proc the Mendeln?

Could you also explain why it matters that it does not take the minion stats? I thought minions basically had 100% of the character anyways?

I know PIT 60 is not much just where it is right now with speed farming items to 8/12.

The autocasting of CT does not proc its multiplier, only when you cast it yourself. And relying on it casting when you want to at each 8sec is not good, you NEED to cast your own not just for the proc but for the utility.

Sacriligious souls have nothing to do with Mendeln.

Minions gain 100 of your stats yes, but all stats you put into minions (as you do with a minion build) does not give Mendeln anything.

With a minion build somewhat optimised you should be able to speed farm 80+ easily, which will grant you more mats for the time spent.

Thanks for your input.

So what CT multiplier are you referring to?

I notice a lot of end game builds also remove the corpse explosion and sub in blight. Any comment on that?

No problem!

Im referring to the multiplier from Grasping Veins aspect.

Corpse explosion doesnt do much except to help with Blighted uptime and consume corpse, but you consume corpse by raise skeleton anyway.

Blight have a 20x multiplier for you and your minions when enemies stand in it.
Blight also helps with Blighted uptime but gives more in terms of damage compared to CE.

Nothing wrong with Sacrilegious. I got a 2GA version with max aspect. (1 second corpse explosion, with 2GA in Lucky Hit and Corpse SKill +)

I love auto casts.

The ring is good for pit 69/helltides and NMD 100

But any higher will prefer to use tempered/aspects ring

At the moment I’m farming 101 with ease with the ultimate lazy necro, Sac Ring and blood moon for auto curse application. Corpse tendrils I cast and use the auto cast, I have room for blight for that extra 20% and if I use main/off hand I can use mendeln (but it takes away from my damage).

I can be as lazy as I want, get distracted at times by my toddler and still clear in an easy way.

I just find it hard to believe the CT multiplier aspect does not work with the auto cast…like how do they do this and why?

EDIT:

So in doing some more investigating the auto case of CT also does not even apply vulnerable…like the actual cast. I guess this is also why the aspect does not work…some logic I suppose.

Are there limitations to the auto cast of CE? I don’t see any and all things related to CE seem to proc with the auto cast.

Does the Skeletal Preist aspect work with the auto cast of Raise Skeleton?
