Ring of Mendeln bugged ... Again

Alright Blizzard, it’s time to address the fact that this ring needs to go. It accounts for 90-95% of a minion Necromancer’s damage and guess what? It’s yet again BUGGED.

Ring of Mendeln is currently not working as intended. Aspects are not being applied to the damage of Mendeln. ← Fix this. Please. Every season it’s something else with minions. We’re either overperforming because of a bug, or we’re underperforming because of a bug. I don’t know if this is PC exclusive, so I’ll post it elsewhere as well. But seriously … If youtubers can run the numbers and figure this out, why is it impossible for the company that made the game?

I agree. Every season it is the same issue. I think it’s time to return to POE until Blizzard fires the current developers and designers, and hires competent ones.

If they can’t fix the ring, they just need to remove it and let us players figure out another way to make Minions work. This is beyond ridiculous – every season it seems like there’s another issue cropping up with the Ring of Mendeln. It accounts for too big of a damage increase, it’s a staple for minions; fix it or remove it.

**And Blizzard: If you fix the Mendeln. KEEP IT FIXED. Give us a kill command for our minions. **

I swear, my 6 year old has come up with ideas that Blizzard hasn’t.

Blizzard is usually really bad at testing stuff past Torment 1.

Most skills and items scaling issues arise at any point between T2 and T4. Sadly, their devs and QA team (if there is any) doesn’t seem able to get past T1. And even when players tell them of multiple bugs, they usually don’t aknowledge it until they fixed it, and generally don’t care too much about non game/server crashing issues to patch them before the next content patch (3-4 months away).

So far, my two main characters builds (Druid Dire Wolf poison and Minion necromancer) have broken items, aspects or skills that usually break one of their biggest multiplier. In the case of the druid, the Grizzly Rage multiplier (75%) doesn’t work longer than 10 seconds despite the Ultimate being active for minutes at a time if you’re using the Dire Wolf aspect. In the case of the Necromancer, it’s Mendeln obviously.

I’ll say it again, Blizzard is really bad at testing. Bugs are a huge part of the reason we’re having subpar builds that should work otherwise (i.e. the builds are theorically sound on paper, but a game breaking bug prevents them from performing as it should) and why some builds are completely busted (i.e. unintended interractions bringing the damage up).

Then then need to fire the dev team and hire competent people.

That’s a bit harsh, but yes, they need to hire some QA testers. Good ones, and listen to them.

Considering how many bugs seem to be introduced every single patch, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
