Hello,
While playing this season, I kept coming across certain things that made me think that it would be nice if a few changes were made to the reward bonuses when climbing up your way to TIV. Here is what I think would are good changes:
Funny enough - this reminds me of the phrase “By three they come” from the trailer. Anyways, by three I break this down.
Normal - Hard
-Stays the same.
Expert to Torment I
-Adjust legendary drops to be higher starting at expert.
Torment II to Torment IV
-Significantly reduce the drops of regular legendarily or completely removed them in exchange of additional resources.
-Slightly increase the chance of Ancestral items dropping with more additional greater affixes starting from TII. Basically TII = better odds for 2 greater affixes, TIII better odds for 3 greater affixes and TIV gives another boost.
There’s are few reasons I’m suggesting this. First, let me explain why I broke into these three difficulty brackets changes. The first one is just your standard experience of leveling and gearing with whatever you get, while you decide what build you want. The second is your journey of collecting legendary gear, powers and putting together a far stronger version of your build. Finally, the last bracket is you working on getting those harder to get pieces of gear that take you to the next level or final form if you will.
But currently, I feel that the amount of loot we get, specially not desirable loot, is too much. Seeing so many legendary drops, knowing that you will just recycle them, takes away from that moment, you watch your loot drop. This is why I believe that, similar to how magic and rare items are automatically salvage - something similar should be done with standard legendary items at higher difficulties. Getting more resources in exchange would be great.
Thanks for staying a while and listening.

I would like to add the Obol vendor handing out magic and rare items in TIV is dismissive to the playerbase. You could just give us veiled crystals directly instead for God’s sake.
Yeah, the improvement of loot in Torment progression seems like an illusion more often than not. Season 11 will hand out even more useless items like before, because you can just enchant one affix and we get 4 again.

Let’s not go the MMO route where the best stuff is reserved for the 5% of the playerbase that does the hardest content. Go to WoW if you want that nonsense, where they only care about the raiders. It took them 20 years to finally notice there are other players…but they still mostly care about the tryhards and their stupid “rACe tO WOrlD FiRSt”.

Yeah, but do you really feel a sense of item progression in higher torment tiers? There should be some, or not?
That’s an odd take. Since Diablo II, gear has always been influence by difficulty. So this has nothing to do with what you are saying. It’s already a fact that you have to be stronger for higher rewards. My suggestion has to do with lowering standard legendary drops rates in exchange for more resources and slight boost to Ancestral gear. lol

This isn’t Diablo 2, and outside of that cult no one cares about Diablo 2.

Lol that was not the point.

Your odd take is an odd take. Diablo 3 behaved the same as Diablo 4: Item Quantity was increased by Torment level but all items in Diablo 3 dropped once you hit Torments. In the Greater Rifts item quantity stopped increasing at GR90. It did not scale all the way to GR150.
Quantity doesn’t really matter. It’s just a function for quality. The question is, do you find better items in higher Torment tiers. And the answer is, it doesn’t feel like it more often than not.
So yeah, I hear WoW has what you’re looking for.

Pre T4 I found 0 chaos naturally
People should go to WoW, because they want to experience more rewarding loot like what the devs promised? I can’t even talk to you without making myself vulnerable for an insult complaint. I think you understand nothing. This forum…
WOOOOOW! So the system is perfect!!!
No - because players wouldn’t see the item they just bought with Obols, then complain the Purveyor ripped them off. Guaranteed.
It may be idiot design, but this is the same community that continually asks for warning messages to be inserted on nearly everything.
Sure if you want to be disingenuous and misrepresent what I said.
