"Reverting a performance change for HOTA"

As per the latest Hotfix published by PezRadar (Hotfix 13), he clearly mentioned "Reverting a performance change that inadvertently reduced the damage for “Hammer of the Ancients”, thus, we can fairly say that there was a change “nerf” to the skill itself and they didn’t talk about in the Hotfix number 12, which again shows the lack of communication and transparency!!

I guess reading comprehension is in short supply.

No you can tell they read it, but I think there’s an unreasonable expectation to disclose backend/technical patches made. I personally don’t want to know if they updated a database table somewhere or improved a query to be 0.0001 seconds faster.

I just see things like this and it hurts my brain is all, I’m used to things like Destiny 2 where they literally added a 2 SECOND delay to swapping weapons to cut down on exploits and it broke the entire game.

Simple changes can have major consequences, not everything is a bloody conspiracy lol.

They probably were changing something with consolidating the damage before processing it through some pipeline instead of processing the individual hits. At least that is what I would assume. Not sure why it would be a problem. PoE typically only has problems when you are hitting dozens of mobs every < 10ms so I don’t see how this game would have a similar problem.

Actually, they have meetings to discuss all changes they make to the game. So all balance changes are a conspiracy.
