Blizzard please consider reverting the tormented boss 30% hp nerf you applied in s4. These tormented bosses are an absolute joke and get one shotted just like normal versions.
It’s ok to have difficult content. It’s ok that some players aren’t good enough to clear the content.

I’ll agree to this as soon as they take them out of the season journey or, failing that, actually get some semblance of balance between the classes so that they don’t have to tune everything to the standards of stupidly overpowered Barbarians; try one-shotting a tormented boss with a Sorc and then see how you feel about them.

Depends. When the fight includes a lot of dodge and evade, the longer it takes to take down the boss the higher the risk of being shot at some point during the fight. When you are able to take him down with a few hits, you don’t really care for a couple more.

Whoever needs the challenge, just remove 1x two-hander and 2x one-handers and try one-shotting it with only 1 two-hander.
I don’t understand why people are asking for the bossfights to be made longer. It doesn’t make it more interesting to hit them longer. It’s all about killing them as fast as possible for the loot. The same with the world bosses. On the ptr you now fight 10 times longer, simply because the damage against the world bosses has been reduced by 10 times. 10 times longer for the same loot. Is that really what you want? Absolute nonsense to me.

for some reason it seems people actually want an MMORPG experience not understanding with an ARPG it’s all about how fast you can pull the slot machine handle. I’m not against them wanting it, but when it happens, I’ll probably just fade out and others probably will as well.

I laughed, literally laughed when I saw Pit bosses had tormented stacks on the PTR.
So my damage is nerfed, ok no big deal, but at least I can just stand in everything for 1-5 minutes instead of 10-30 seconds, right?
Nope, defensive stats don’t matter, you have to “skillfully” dodge shadow boss mechanics doing what used to be simple 101-115 bosses. Gotta “earn” those 60~ netharion. And again, and again, AND Again. Maybe many many more times if you are so inclined to actually get masterworking crits you are after.
It’s ok though; we all know these games haven’t always been about repeatedly farming something as quickly as possible (or slot machine attempts as you correctly stated), but rather instead dodging predictable mechanics while slowly whittling down an hp sponge of a boss!
Weaving out of beast bombs while going unstoppable when Lilith pulls me in and then leaping back on the boss for a few seconds over and over again requires immense skill and is SOOOO exhilarating.
And if you disagree, you are wrong. We all know it makes perfect sense to never ever get to the point where you have enough defensive stats to not worry about otherwise trivial mechanics. Melted heart of selig? Not if my 5-6 stacks of Tormented have anything to say about it! #ARPGstakeskill #mechanicsonfarmbossesisfun.

It certainly does if you can just bypass mechanics. An uber boss should at least last a couple of minutes, even in high level gear.
If you’re meta/broken build, sure. What about for the rest of us?

you are looking at the wrong angle here, the classes need a more balanced state, we dont need classes hitting for billions or more, while other builds are barely hitting a few millions worth of dmg. After they fixed that, which is probably not that easy, but they also making alot of avoidable mistakes along the way, we can start talking game balance again. Yes its off, but its completely different for different classes, its so far off that u cant do a reasonable decisision here, cause some builds feel it much differently.
