Are the thick boxes no longer available (200 embers) I have only found 100s (WT 2), use this page: helltides*com
What is “Living Steel”? Otherwise the good chests were always displayed on this map.

on wt1 and wt2 you only get small mystery boxes. living steel chests and big mystery boxes start from wt3 onwards.
living steel is a material you need to summon grigoire, a boss from the boss ladder.
also, no real need for the helltides map anymore - the chests get shown in a pretty big area on the in game map now.

Helltides run 55 minutes each hour, then down for 5 minutes.

Helltides in WT1&2 are different they are all 100. It confused me at first too, then I remembered it is new to these tiers.
Are you talking about the ones that make the monsters more challenging for a time segment. Exactly that, so you can push harder and get better drops or more exp or whatever. (I have not used one yet, or any of the new potions
Living steel is the mat you need for Grigoire an end game boss lvl 75, he will in turn drop shards for Duriel.
The chests still display but you have to be in the section of Helltides they are in , and it is broken into 2 sections generally.
