Return XP bonus buff, please

Dear Blizzard, can you please return your wondeful 35% XP bonus buff.

It is very boring to farm paragon. At least with this buf, it was a bit faster.

Hopefully we’ll see an xp requirement change at mid-season for paragon progress.

But expect the fun police to appear momentarily and tell you that your opinion is wrong and this game should be a torturous grind and you don’t need paragon past level 250 anyway.

well if they cut overall exp in half. We would only need to go for 284 instead LOL.

I’m not the fun police but imho P300 is a chase item for the sweatiest of sweatlords.
It should stay a grind.
I’m 5 levels away from 300 now and I can say that I will never do this again. And I am ok that.
I highly doubt they will make any changes this season. And probably not going forward either.
The dev team cares far more about their “time played” metric than I think you realize.

Where are you my D3 Paragon Enthusiasts, when we need you?

The original grind to 100 felt fine - not too long, but not so quick you would be there before you even realized it.

Everything from 200-300 feels like chasing the carrot at the end of the stick in all the worst ways. At some point you just give up and drop off completely.

No arguement that the run to 300 should be a grind. Think they need to change the pacing in the 200-250 range. It’s when you hit this area that too many things slow down. You’ve probably got your glyphs past 45. You’ve probably got your best in slot gear and are finishing up masterworking. Gems are done. You’ve finished mercenary tracks. You have all the runes you need.

But you just need ten to twenty paragon points to finish out your build. And the XP grind gets really slow at this point. All you can do is grind pits for XP. Nothing else gets as much XP.

Grinding is fine as long as you make measurable progress. Paragon has the misfortune of become slow right when everything else wraps up.

How much more time until you hit 300?

I just wish I could still get decent experience outside of rerunning Pits or Infernal Hordes. This isn’t like Baal runs, if that’s what they were aiming for. There isn’t secret, super low-drop-rate item to chase in Pits and Infernal Hordes.

No fun police needed. OP said they aren’t having fun.

Don’t try to get 300 if you aren’t having fun doing it. I’m P230+ just from progressing my character. I haven’t chosen any of my activities by how much xp they give. I’ve been doing convenient whispers and collecting boss mats and spending boss mats and farming runes in undercity and killing convenient world bosses and getting distracted by trash mobs in helltide and clearing Dark Citadel once a week and blah blah blah. My build is done. I’m starting a new character and will continue to passively collect xp while i work on progress.

Don’t do boring things just to hit a goal that you weren’t meant to hit. It’s not worth it. When it stops being fun, play another game.

Roughly he probably needs about 500 more pit runs. Depends on pit level he is doing and how fast he can do them. He needs somewhere in the 4-5 billion more xp and gets probably about 10m xp per pit. My numbers here arent perfect but its close estimate.

Im at 270 paragon and can do pit 90 in about 90 seconds give or take depending on map. I estimate that to be about 1565 more pit runs, so roughly 40 hours. Not including breaks and salvage and obol gambling. 40 more hours of strictly pits and I already have 120+ hours played. Not exclusively running pits though.

If he can do about the same its roughly 12.5 hours for him.

That’s the problem. Getting bored and haven’t hit the goal I’m meant to hit. 225 paragon and need about a dozen points to finish out build. The grind has gotten painfully slow.

There’s no way you need over 230 paragon points to finish your build. There’s a difference between getting your build mechanics online and filling in nodes because you want them.

I’m playing a Druid, not a spiritboring. You have to invest heavily to get the same results as other classes.

12 more points won’t fill that gap.

Actually, it will. It will allow me to fill finish out bonuses on last glyph and close the T4 resistance deficit. I’m 5% short on three resistances, and don’t have any gear affixes I can swap around.

Should have extended it just because of ppl not being able to play with crashing.

Another missed chance to show the community you are at least queued into what is happening.

Probably less than 10 hours if I want to be efficient but I am so sick of running pits. So I’m just mixing it up now.
I grinded a lot during the mother’s blessings buff and I’m feeling the burnout lol.

I find that doing Hordes and helltides still useful with the XP buff on mobs. Without that Pit is the only activity to gain XP as the boss XP seem not affected by the buff.

If Trump wins he said he’ll reinstate mother’s blessing for the rest of the season.

And make DC soloable.
