Removing Extra Shrines NMD/Golbin Spawns already killed the event

And without it I really don’t see these proposed numbers for the community tier rewards as being realistic.

Would help if they never removed the additional Legendary and Ancestral Legendary drops from Bosses.

Well I’ve killed 2 goblins so far. Only 39,999,998 more to go.

Really feels like the Dev Team is pissed off about the negative feedback about their own bad decisions and has decided to be extremely petty and vindictive about it. Data shows Ancestral Drop Rates are impossibly low? Lower them more. Data shows Cosmetic Drop Rates are impossibly low? Lower them more. Data shows an earlier Goblin event was fun and engaging? Redesign it to be no fun, very un-engaging, and tag on an impossible to reach community goal when factoring in how many goblins can actually be spawned.

Take That. How dare you question us.

So how many can be spawned exactly?

This would be related to how many people are actively playing the game. They know those numbers, we have poorly informed estimates. They could also just arbitrarily decide that milestones were made over time to make it look like 40m goblins were killed. That would certainly make the shareholders feel good.

I’ve decided on my conspiracy theory. Somewhere off of the coast of Nahantu in a place the player can’t reach 1,000 goblins spawn and die and count towards the counter so that the event cannot fail.

Imagine if your broker recommended stocks based on goblin count.

Let’s put it this way. I just did an entire Nahantu Helltide Tier 4 from start to finish. Killed 6 goblins. Some event.

So 16 days is 384 hours [Dec 17 - Jan 2]. 6 x 384 is 2,304 goblins. 40,000,000 / 2,304 = 17,362 (rounded up) players who have to kill 6 goblins an hour to meet the goal.

So do you think that it is reasonable to think that there are at least 17,362 players online around the clock for the next 16 days?

Absolutely not. Not even close.

Other people are saying there’s goblins everywhere. Gonna try restarting my game and launcher.

Then that settles it. I do think that it is likely true that there are more than 17,362 players worldwide online at any given moment. At least a third of that is shown on just the steamcharts.

Restarting helped. There was a patch, too. Now I’m getting goblins.

Edit: Yea, now that mine is actually working I stand corrected. This seems do-able.
