Remove the skills and gear swapping limitation

I think it’s time for the developers to review this restriction, which was applied in Season 2 during the Abattoir of Zir (AOZ). This change seemingly came after some crybaby YouTubers complained about other players who had the ability to swap skills, gear, and even paragon setups on the go during AOZ to fight different enemies.

Currently, modes like the Pit, Infernal Horde, and Gauntlet prohibit the changing of skills, gear, and paragon in mid-run. This nonsensical restriction has further lowered the playability of game content.

I keep asking myself: as a sorcerer, why can’t I switch to a stronger staff with double-buffed Elemental Constellation aspects for better single-target damage during a boss fight after clearing mobs with a fast and light AOE wand? Why can’t we use a more serious weapon to fight more serious enemy?

As far as whatever leaderboards are concerned, what’s wrong with players who are clever enough to perform hot swaps efficiently to score more points and rank higher? Why does everyone have to play at the level of a crybaby YouTuber who couldn’t adapt ? Instead, we all have to dumbed down to his level?

Seriously, developers, please remove this prohibition and let players experience the game as it logically should be. For comparison, the greener grass on the other side: Path of Exile 2, even supports configuring skills to specific weapon sets.

I agree. A player should have complete control over his loadout at all times or the game should explicitly warn the player before interacting that they will not have complete control over their loadout with sound reasoning.
