Remove stackable debuff

I do agree with this but it wouldnt matter. Ppl would still complain they couldnt do the harder content or would whine they get less rewards for easier content.

T4 was great in PTR but i anticipate the live version will either be tonned down or loot will rain from the sky like it currently does. Ppl want the greatests rewards with no effort. Ppl in PTR feedback were even saying all rewards at all difficulty levels should be the same.

I agree with this, and developers just need to put their foot down honestly. You can’t have everything at your fingertips. MMORPGs do this fairly well. If you want the best gear in the game you’ll have to join a raid group and put in the work.

All I’m saying is add options, and a gradual progression into punishing mechanics such as the stacking debuff.

Past behavior tells us they cave 100% of the time. They are afraid to say no.

Who’s Pit 200 for? Has it even been done?

They could have made 150 reasonably accessible, and I mean approaching if not BiS (not all GA’s) characters able to complete it. I don’t mean old 101 or anything. Then at 150 start giving increasing GA drop frequency from the chest while keeping mats increasing the way they used to. 130s were enough of a test of my patience, and that is still 20-70 levels below the title achievements.

Make 175-200 absolutely brutal, fine. 175+ starts dropping guaranteed 2-3 GA gear. Few will ever have the 200 title and maybe get what they want from it.

Instead they moved glyphs to it which is just going to make people go in there that don’t really want to and they will feel they have to tune them on the lower side.

Pretty sure they are not the same people.

No think 160 is highest for S5? (sorry going back to the old number that 175 was from s4. Forgot where I heard 160 was cleared though.)

Which is just hilarious to me. It’s straight up “we designed 40 levels of content that can’t be completed and are now scrapping it”. This tells me they can’t afford to leave it alone like they did in D3 where it took years for a max rift to be completed.

It has not been completed, and never will be with the new changes as the new cap will be 100 when the patch hits. We’ll see if people can reach that new cap.

Yes also what mobility skills are for. But what I said is the damage from that shadow hit is still a one shot.

Also you have extremely successful games like Elden Ring with only one difficulty level.
Diablo 4 has any difficulty you want already. Subjectively much too easy already.

Let’s wait and see in S6. Judging from PTR, even a non meta build (based on my Firewall Sorc build) is able to do Pit 80.

Fire? You get a debuff from all kinds of boss moves.

I don’t disagree with you here, but different strokes for different folks. All I’m saying is more options is always a good thing, especially when it comes to player choice. I don’t agree with taking away options as the OP is suggesting though. Aside from the obvious, there’s no reason we can’t have more options.

These are designed after D3’s GR’s. How long does the boss take in those? If you’re going to copy something Blizz copy it properly. Giving the boss that much HP just to slow us down is pathetic. Do you think we can’t tell when you’re trying to stretch out game time for your metrics?

Only telegraphed ones.
Hence the saying “don’t stand in fire”, and “fire bad”.
Your welcome.

I don’t think it’s them caving, it’s them working/trying to maintain a viable population of players. I don’t believe they make any changes simply because a few on multimedia complain, there has to be data to back up the complaining and when that data shows the majority are not engaging in various content or numbers begin to dwindle the changes are made.

Players complaining about the game not being challenging/hard enough are not the ones paying the bills. Options are one possiblitly, but as noted that has it’s own problems as people want to be able to do everything in the game at the same difficulty as everyone else. D4 encourages this behavior because unllike its predecessors D2 and D1 the difficulty levels are not split up. Most players on those completed the game on normal and never ventured on to Nightmare and Hell mode, D4’s levels are all available during the 1st play through of the game making everyone feel they need to visit every tier and beat every challenge to complete the game. So, the entire game suffers (or is improved depending on point of view) to make that possible.

If the Blizzard prize patrol came to your front door when you beat the uber boss at the highest level, I could see the game being super difficult.

Now back to reality. Blizzard has to make the customers happy, if that means running a character through the game with no gear and killing everything in sight, what difference does it make to someone that’s maxed out their build while living 24/7 in the game? For crying out load, it’s a single player game. Bind all the gear to the account, after all you wouldn’t want to get gear by buying or trading for it, that would be too easy, right? Fun is in the eyes of the player, not the person you’re never going to interact with, that seems to care way too much about your level, your gear. Let everyone in their own lane. I don’t give a damn how others get their drops. Why should it matter to anyone else?

I agree boss mechanics relying on a bs mechanic is just sad. I’ve been playing First Descendant last two days when wife is working. The boss fights for lowly geared chars is awesome, it can take 10 to 15 mins, but at least you learn what to do. They are fast moving fights you need to pay attention to, not just damage sponges with brain dead mechanics.

If you can run through the game without any gear on good sir, then why would anyone want to play this loot hunt game?
I’m glad all the people I have ever played with don’t want the game to be made any easier.
I played Diablo 1, D2, and D3 for a challenge, not to run around with no gear on and mindlessly flail about while out to inevitably see the credits roll.
Eventually if the game continues to cater to people that want that kind of game I may move on.
Have no doubt about it though, I know Diablo 4 has been, and will be a success, no matter if I like it or not.

No one most likely would enjoy it if it were a breeze, but my point was if some level 10 can kill Lilith by tickling her with a feather, why would it even matter to someone with maxed out gear, that she wipes the floor with 1000 times before being beat? As long as it meets the player discretion as a challenge (through settings).

I see a lot of people worried (needlessly) over how others play or the gear that drops for them. Why is that? They want to lock them out of content because they aren’t worthy. All I’m saying is it’s a game, not a way of life, and if people are going to worry, maybe they need to stop thinking about what others enjoy or not. Blizzard doesn’t care if you are the best or worst player.

Just to be clear here, I think if you’re going after end game stuff you should gear properly. That being said, not all builds are remotely equal, and on top of that, the mechanics behind various end game (hordes) are not equal. Wife and I have discovered several builds on several classes that can trounce the lvl 200 Torment bosses, then struggle to get the 180 T7 bosses down, SLOW as F. So, there’s a lot wrong right now, and I do honestly hope they get a handle on it soon.
