Remove Random Teleport from The Oculus

The time it takes to down a boss with a teleport build is boring, the damage is not scaling with the trash or elite mobs.

Either bump the damage multiplier or remove the random so we can clear bosses.

Yes, please. Was surprised that in this season in which they are trying to help sorc, rando location on Oculus is still a thing.

I know the random teleport is sort of a D2 throwback but it really does make a teleport build pretty much just a meme.

I also tested this and I think that flickerstep no longer resets the evade cooldown with the replaced dodge from Raiment either :frowning:

I used to hate the randomness of Oculus, but the more I use it, the more I find that it’s not that bad. Things where I find it quite useful:

  • PvP. It’s funny when you drop Firewall and enemies can’t hit or find you. Easy kill due to the massive DoT from Firewall and great survivability because even your opponent will not be able to predict where you are coming and going

  • In S1, when Hydra was scaling in NM 100. Basically it has godly damage. You can just drop Hydras and keep teleporting until they kill the mobs. You could basically run naked because the mobs can’t kill you

  • In S5, pair it with Raiment, I drop a bunch of Firewall, teleport. Enemies are burned and stunned for the whole time. Only time I would avoid using it if there’s a pool of poison because I had a couple of times where I landed exactly in that pool.

  • In Infernal Horde, it’s fun teleporting and let those hordes chaste you.

Now if Blizzard can remove the randomness, I’ll be even happier. My current teleport has 4.3 cooldown from +12 GA Oculus plus Shako

You have to run metamorphous aspect to remove the randomness.

No to removing random teleport. Yes for increasing damage. Same idea with doombringer.

That aside, if you get a GA on INT you have a good start with Occy.

Still hunting for that. I got a GA on the teleport instead.

This is an odd interaction, I want to try it out

I wasnt a fan of the change to this wand. I’m not a huge fan of the telestomp build and would have rather seen it keep a non physical damage bonus to make it playable with certain builds.

Which part you didn’t like about the change in the wand? The huge intelligence bonus 9if you got a max roll with GA it’s even better) and making the evade charges an intrinsic attribute are good changes.

I agree though on the damage change. If it was non-physical, it would be more flexible

basically the teleport damage and nova size. Hardly anyone uses teleport for that reason
