Nerf pit bosses. Stop designing your game based on feedback from Elder Ring fans who are playing games 16 hours a day as a job.
Totally agree. This season seems is for necromancer only. Only they can avoid mechanics while minions beating the boss… mili classes struggle with bosses. This design is completely was made by an 2 brain cells guy
Am I the only one who hates these “MMO” mechanics? Why can’t it be more like Diablo 2.
Elden ring does not even have one shots if you spec your character right. And, in games like Elden ring, attacks that do a lot of dmg have a lengthy wind-up that give you ample warning.
Unfortunately, blizz devs have too low IQs to design games like that.
Minimal wind-up but one shot anyway.
Posts like this have no merit at all. “remove all the one shots” Everything is a potential 1 shot depending on your level, character, and well equipped you are. You could (and probably are) just attempting content above your ability right now. It could well be some adjustments are needed, but without specifics (char, level, equip etc., and what level/tier you’re trying complete) your complaint is meaningless.
Not to mention there should be content that you just can’t do at some point.
Agree, do the bosses tanky or with mechanics but not one shot crap.
The scaling is a bit extreme, yes. Higher bosses should be harder but they are because of the extra mechanics that appear inside. But the damage and hp scale ramps up very quickly.
It is actually getting annoying. The amount of misunderstanding (deliberate or not) around Souls games is wild.
Those games are generally the opposite of oneshot combat. You die from attrition; running out of healing.
Diablo 4 could learn a lot there.
THIS!!! 12 characters
Agree! Very annoying they are going this way, also very irritating with tormented bosses- many attacks have poor telegraphs or hardly give you time to react, or just hard to see.
I hear you but I also wish that anyone asking things be simplified, etc ALSO understood that for every request they make asking for things to be dumbed down for their own enjoyment, they are also asking something to be TAKEN away from other players.
We all like different levels of “sweaty” in games and I constantly see (and also participate in) people demand changes yet they never seem to grasp that their request removes enjoyment for OTHER players.
That’s all, I guess. I just wish people realized that… hmmm… there are other people?
Elden Ring difficulty design is much better than D4. The game is difficult but it always provide you the tools to overcome the challenge.
In D4 the dev just raises the HP of the monster 10x higher than the damage player can output from most skills and labels it as a difficult fight. Also there is no DR and HP to match the damage output of the boss available in the game. There is no tool provided in game to solve this puzzle, it is just a wall that will never breach until many seasons to create a sense of difficulty in the game.
Hear me out, more of the goodness about pit, those circles appear nonstop, and can appear two at once. I had 3!!! shadow bosses cast their spells at once. You cannot DPS the boss while dodging the circle attack so you have non-stop circles spam.
The way those attacks are telegraphed is beyond terrible, tiny fireballs or projectiles that deal absolutely massive damage/one shot most builds.
If an uber boss has no cooldown, and spams ability non-stop it is called BUG. But in Pit is game mechanics apparently.
Find a way to properly design and programm bosses like other games did, hello last epoch/path of exile. Instead of cookie clicker scaling with random abilities copied pasted from other bosses, but in less visible form, without any cooldown and with lazy excel style dmg scaling.
I also suggest that you stop playing meta builds/classes (necro/barb) if you like challenge so much. And play PIT on hardcore, should be double fun from random oneshots.
Whats enjoyable from one shot mechanics? thats pure lazyness instead of developing a proper fight, Uber Andariel is a good example of a decent fight but she ALSO has that one shot crap when she summons the fire.
because D2 sucks in 2024.
Yes the oneshot mechanics that enemies cause are very frustrating. It should be like in Diablo 2 where you can still react with regeneration potions.
I agree. While there should be things to dodge/evade, those spiraling novas (the Rogue boss and his Shadow that seems more OP) that come out super fast are not really dodgeable for melee, for sorc, if you notice it in time, you might be able to TP away, but then it could hit you once your on the outer area, so there’s that.
If the die-hards want 1-shot mechanics, how about we compromise and have these after a certain lvl (that way the rest of us can still get mats to upgrade our stuff - I still haven’t gotten Neathirons and lvl 50 seems to be where the 1-shots start.
I’d like to see other ways than just the Pit Boss to earn Masterworks materials. I was at level 98 before the loot update, now my gear is weak, and requires endless Pit runs to upgrade new gear. Not a big deal for newer characters as you gather the materials over time. Might have helped a bit if legacy items (maybe over a certain level) gave some Masterworks materials when they are scrapped.
i stopped playing season 4. pit is super annoying when it’s all about one-shots. i don’t take any damage, then bam! dead out of the blue. blizzard doesn’t seem to understand sustained damage.
